AAxx vs weak bets OOP

Postby briachek » Tue Sep 27, 2005 10:27 pm

Ok I was just confused on what the hell to do in this hand. The pot was too big it seemed to fold and the bets too weak but there were callers too so I didn't feel comfortable raising. What the hell do you do on this hand?

Yes, I called knowing I was VERY likely to be losing but I might not need my A to win and the pot was too big on the river to fold. Part of the call was out of curiosity too.

Yeah, I think you spewed a bit here. Still, make a note that this guy slow-plays his big hands to potential destruction, and remember that preflop raises can narrow the field a little...

If you're not going to raise AAxx hands preflop on loose $25 tables, you have to pretty much resign yourself to folding to any bet when you haven't flopped the set or some strong draw.
