How about this one. The fun continues. I go to Doylesroom to waste my last .15 .... like it matters. I play a single table tourny, get to the last 5. I have KK. The flop comes out J54. The dude goes all in, I call. He has A2. The turn is a 3 and river is a 6. My exit in any tournament, or any table I play usually goes something like that.... even in a .15 tournament. I'm wondering if this will ever end. I mean, crap, I should fold the KK right there, because he probly has AN INSIDE STRAIGHT DRAW!!! I should probly fold the straight I flopped... because he probly has a 7 of diamonds... the next 2 cards could be 77, I should definately fold. I did track my last 5 tournament exits on that site, and they were all like that, and all right before cashing.

1. all in - 20 people left, 90 man tourny, top 9 pay, QQ, flop J96, All-in, caller
has AJ, the next card comes out, A
(I made the "perfect play", which ends up costing me $25.00 of my money, and easily another $75 by making
the top 9.)

2. all in - AK, lose to AJ, preflop.

3. all in - KK, lose to JJ, preflop... 4 of a kind

4. Freeroll: 220 people. Finish 96. All in preflop KK, lose to 99.

5. $3 Tournament 177 people. lost on pocket 8s to AK, K on flop, lost half my stack. First 45 minutes,
won 1 hand. all in preflop AJ suited, 44 finish 43rd won 2 hands the whole tournament
Board cards : Jd 4h 7c 3d Js

DeadNutts ....... Ah Jh
krystina661 ....... 4d 4s

krystina661 wins 6,660 with Full House : 4s full of Jacks

These tournaments, along with my 2 logs I displayed earlier from Partypoker have been the last times I've played online poker, and I tell you, it wasn't much better before that.

My new question is, are the cards I'm getting and hands I'm playing that bad compared to other people... because according to odds they are. I mean, all the people winning at online poker, do they usually have hands like this, non-stop? Or do they get cards on the other side of the spectrum once in a while. All I'm asking, "Is it just me?" Is this a longated drout? Or is it normal?

As someone who makes a living from online poker and has been on a week long frenzy of good cards and bad beats, it doesn't last forever, just make sure you don't tilt and try and win pots you think you deserve because you 2 good cards pre flop.

Poker can be a brutal game sometimes.

Hey DN--

Read 'Theory of Poker' and stop crying about your bad beats!!! If you get all your $$ in with the best hand and end up a loser....oh well, it happens; you still win according to the Fundamental Theory of Poker. Even if you are a 1000-1 favorite, you will (and should) lose 1 out of every 1001 attempts.....thats poker my friend.

Thanka Molina, that's most encouraging thing I've heard.

Somehow, I'm still up a total of $50.00 for 6 months of online poker. It's probly because of the 2 large tournaments I won. Honestly though, those were the only 2 times I wasn't invloved in a ugly beat. I think I have been playing correctly then. I'd have to say that most people, if they were dealt the hand I have been for this long would not be up at all. I'll keep going at it, and maybe one day I'll notice it... like a switch being flipped, and I will hit the other end of the hand spectrum, or even average would be nice.

I play real tournaments every week, local, with up 30 people, and I can't remember the last time I didn't make at least the top 5. The cards I have been dealt overall, I would say have been around average, nothing special. You get foldable hands most of the time, hit a few big hands here and there, make some good reads, some sneaky plays, and that's about it. Actually last week, one guy went on a terror, had 6 winning hands in a row at the final table. I'm talking showing his hand on each of them. Even when I win, stuff like that doesn't happen to me. The guy was a tight player too, so it wasn't like he was winning with 63 either.

Well, I've had enough experience and practice playing with average and well below average hands dealt my way, I'm ready for the changeover any day now. I will say though, there have been 2 real tournaments I have played, where I had great cards for the majority of the time. But online, average will be good enough for me to at least build a big enough bankroll to do something with.

This whole journal started with me stating that I wanted to find out if online poker was rigged or not. If you were me, you'd have the same question.

Thanks for the encouragement.

And for the people that posted earlier that said I didn't know my starting hands... I've had them basically memorized for quite a while now.

80, I know bad beats are part of the game. It basically comes down to: You flop 2 pair or something, and make a large bet, then someone calls you with an inside straight draw, or at the time, what would seem to be nothing, maybe A6 with a 54 out on the board. They catch the cards they need, and that's the end of your stack. I guess you could say that playing online you would have a lot more people chasing these hands. This would give you a lot more bad beats over time. The thing that has been bugging me, is that I'm on the bad end of these more often then odds would state I should be. I actually took a day and chased every inside straight draw I could, every flush, played every ace, and the odds held true, I caught barely any of them. If you look at it from the other side, where the people are chasing against me, the odds do not hold true, otherwise I would be winning many more hands where they fold at river. The only thing I can think of is that the people I'm playing against that catch their cards... against me, have been chasing and getting nothing for a while, and they were finally due at that exact hand. If that is the case, I can't see it happening for much longer, the odds have to even out sometime. I've been waiting for 6 months. There were a few times where I had a couple hours where I avoided this, but it has been rare. I would think, "Maybe this it, it has finally stopped." Then I get hit by another one, and then 4 more the next 2 hours. It usually doesn't stop for days. I hope this makes sense, so you can see where I'm coming from.

Just logging the day. I have to say other than the listed above, the cards were not all that bad for once. Also, when I have enough hands on my hard drive, I will run poker tracker on them and get some stats, then post them.

Proof it's rigged. I ask them to remove the checkbox from my name, and they tell me how to do it. Read between the lines on this one, and they are saying, "Sir, I know we have a checkbox by your name, but I can't actually say that, so change your username and the checkbox will be removed."

Please wait... contacting available host.

ray-host Hi, welcome to our poker room. How may I help you?
DeadNutts Did you flip a switch on or something? Like a checkbox by name, stating I'm not allowed to win?
ray-host what do you think?
DeadNutts My favorite term on this site has become "Unbelievable"
ray-host some times you win, but some time you will not that lucky,
DeadNutts Ever since the first tournament I played on this site, the cards have been pretty much unreal, and also very predictable
ray-host : if this is the issue, have you win all time
DeadNutts : huh?
ray-host : As a poker player you may also know that it is not good business and/or
ray-host : there is no profit for the company whether the players win or loose,
ray-host : since our business is not based in the player balance. Therefore it makes
ray-host : since our business is not based in the player balance. Therefore it makes
ray-host : no sense for us to jeopardize a whole operation by using a software that has no fair card shuffling for every one
ray-host : do you agree?
DeadNutts : no
ray-host : you opinion.
DeadNutts : Based off pure statistics alone... I do not agree
ray-host : do you agree poker is 50% luck and other 50% is skill?
DeadNutts : no
ray-host : ok, then.
ray-host : express...
DeadNutts : I can quote out of many books that state it is 25% luck, 75% skill
ray-host : do not agree.
ray-host : do read the book, the book sell to you and they make money.
ray-host : if you buy the book, who wins an
ray-host : and who lose?
DeadNutts : I don't buy the books, I go to the store and read them.
ray-host : if one day you are full of luck and sit down on the table
ray-host : every hand you have full house or 4 of a kind, do you need skill?
DeadNutts : Well, if you go by odds, that would never happen, and if it did, it would be extremely rare.
ray-host : then why every body buys lottery?
DeadNutts : If every hand, you hit nothing on the flop, and when you do, you still lose, should you still play?
ray-host : no, change to another table, and try 3 more hands. if still the same
ray-host : I will go to bed.
ray-host : wait for other daya.
DeadNutts : hmmmm.....
DeadNutts : This has been more than a couple weeks.... another day.... let me think
DeadNutts : So your telling me that this game is really based on luck and not skill?
ray-host : have I told you 50/50.
DeadNutts : Since that is what your saying, that would mean Doyle and all the other pros, are nothing but frauds
DeadNutts: Unless you want to change your statement
ray-host : not what you say.
ray-host : the are prof, and also they know when to make a kill.
DeadNutts : If they were playing my cards, they would be doing just as bad as I am.
ray-host : agree.
ray-host : also I would like you to change your screen name as well.
DeadNutts : How?
ray-host : no luck with this name!!!!
DeadNutts : Why?
DeadNutts : I'm not seeing a place where a screen name can be changed
ray-host : no, the system will not allow you to do this.
DeadNutts : Alright, then change it to: ItsAllLuckHere
ray-host : send an email to playerservices@dbpn.com and request to change your screen name.
DeadNutts : Seriously, why would that actually do any good at all?
DeadNutts : I change my screen name, and I get better cards?
DeadNutts : There are about a million other things I can do at any given moment to mess with the chaos theory
ray-host : not at all.
ray-host : the user name will affected the winning chances.
DeadNutts : How is that?
ray-host : just do what I have told you to, later let see that your luck has change or not.
ray-host : remember my name,
DeadNutts : Alright Ray, I will give it a shot.
ray-host : thanks,
DeadNutts : It was nice having this indepth debate with you
ray-host : remember me your old user name what you contact me with different user name.
ray-host : when*
ray-host : so bye for now.
DeadNutts : later
