This is just trying to be a confirmation for my thinking. These hands always scare me because a call could easily mean a trap. I only min check raised the flop (which I hate to do) to try and find out if someone had the nut flush because many people would raise me then. When I get just the one caller, should I lead like I do and just fold to a push? Typical thinking?

i like your thinking with the check-raise and fold to reraise, but i would consider raising a bit more than minimum in an attempt to give a set improper odds -- esp. since you are planning to continue on the turn.

Interesting way to play it. Generally, I prefer to either check raise max or (more usually) just lead out, again with the intentions of folding to a raise. Leading out allows better pot control, check-raising should probably get you more info early on. That said, if you CR me there when I have the nut flush I just call and set you in on the turn, so it'd cost you more than just leading out.
