In the BTP tourney I got Kings twice, and queens twice as well. I got about a third of my stack in each time, and an ace popped up, and I check folded... That normally works fine because I play against the usually crappy players in sit and go's, so I can just wait til I have a better shot, but playing against good players like in that tournament where I am less likely to get paid off, should I have raised even with the over-card on the board? My thinking is if someone calls a fairly high raise, or reraises you before the flop, the moste likely card they would have would be an Ace.

A pot sized bet on the flop would pretty much commit me. Should I raise 1/4 of the pot and fold to significant reraise? Just go for the all in and pray? I'm at a loss

How big were you raising pre-flop?

Let's see... these were all early so...

Two were 80ish, got reraised for, 200ish, reraised to around 600ish.
Other two were straight for about 400.
At least I managed not to be the first out! :-p

The first hand against Monk: you only reraise minimum preflop and give hem a cheap look at the flop. Flop A53. Now you bet T120 into a T230 pot which I think is too weak. But when you are called there is no reason to bet on turn. You wrote: "I just had a feeling he didnt have the ace..." I think he had (or 53o).

The second hand against Richardoon. You make a big reraise preflop which I like. When the flop is AQ2 you have to check-fold with KK here. He wouldn't bet with JJ-99. He has either Ax or QQ.

I hope these were two of the hands that you wrote about. I hate when I have a big pair and an ace flops. Nothing to do about it. Just my thoughts on them. But I didn't make it to the final table...
