Here's the scenario:

You've got $1000. You mainly play SNGs, but want to also get in on some MTTs, esp the 3-5K Guarantees with an overlay. Where would you put your money and in what amounts?

I'd say 80% SNGs and 20% MTTs. This should provide a steady income to your BR via SNGs (providing you're winning at a healthy rate) which can support your MTTs and hopefully every now and then you'll net a nice prize to substantially boost your BR through one of them.

That sounds like a great idea. The MTTs (3) I've played on FT are sweet. You can pretty much believe you've got a really good chance as there is a ton of dead money. The payout structure is very weird. Around 200 in these, and it pays to 18, with virtually your buyin back to you unless you make the final table. That's not a terrible stretch, but it's a lot of slogging through a lot of weak players.

I love the STTs on PokerStars. Total cash cow. I want to try the MTTs there, and Bodog, and now Pokerroom. Plus, I can have a very steady cash flow multitabling the 22s at Party.

I'm never going back to playing cash games. I just suck at them. And I love playing tournaments. I was a wreck at the first final table, Tom Brady at the second.
