As always, thanks for the words of encouragement Kenny...I'm not sure I am ready "mentally and emotionally" for the 100 NL on a full time basis...For now, I will just pick my spots...It sure is easy to get used to winning at the bigger games, but the losing is what concerns me...I know I have the BR, but.....

I actually worked this weekend (NOT poker), as I am moving yet again, but hopefully this will be the last one for quite awhile. I am sore all over, which is proof I have been sitting on my ass in a nice desk chair for way too long...Gonna have to work on getting back in some sembance of shape, as I don't want to be the poster boy for "HERE is what a heart attack looks like!!" I did quit smoking, and only need to lose 20 or so pounds, which is very tough to do with my drinking habits...I will have to think on that one...I don't drink as much as I used to, but the amount would be scary to most of you...

I did play a little over the weekend, with very little to write about. Mostly just the bonus at Betfred and a SNG here and there...mixed results, but no pain to the BR...

I did make a decision to read a little more so........

A very, VERY strange afternoon and evening yesterday...It might be of some interest to write about at another time...Suffice it to say, people are crazy...It is no wonder why I am a loner....The adrenaline was pumping, so I played well into the night last night (for better or worse!) It is also why I responded to more BTP posts than I ever had before! And yes, I was stressed, and yes I smoked a pack of cigs (3 more sticks to go and I will quit again) And yes, writing is good therapy......
On to poker---One thing I can say is AGGRESSION was NOT lacking!! I finished off 1500 hands (LIMIT) at Intertops for my second review by Lee S---That will be interesting, cuz I may have played like shit-we will see...
I then went to the SNG's (10+1) where I was a bit rusty (I hadn't played any in about a month), but I actually said out loud-"you phukkers have no chance!" LOL well, the first one, I was second out!! (although I raised 6BB with AJ, flopped a J-77, but I forgot to figure in the muppet factor of some moron calling 6BB's with Q7!! jesus) How the hell you call 6BB's without BOTH 7's, I will never know... I settled down into some controlled aggression and had a 1st, a 2nd, two 3rds and another early bust out...By then I was exhausted and was actually happy the day (morning) was over...

Another end of the month---man, do they fly by!! Similar to last month, I thought I was a little farther along in the BR dept...But it's all good , as I picked up another 900 or so this month between the bonuses and winnings...I thought I was closer to 4K, but I guess I got whacked at PLO8 more than I thought!!

Bankroll (AKA "retirement fund")

Mar 1st---600
Apr 1st---885
May 1st---1197
June 1st---2022
July 1st---1896
Aug 1st---2050 (+/-)
Sept 1st---2673
Oct 1st---3600 +/-

I didn't bother to add it all up, since I have money spread around on so many sites...The BetFred bonus should have been cleared by now, but they usually have only one game going, so it's a bit of a grind, as I am only about halfway home on that one.
I still have my goal of a 6K BR, and then I'm going to spring for at least a new monitor, but probably a whole new system with tons of RAM etc...I am really looking forward to that! If I really put my nose to the grindstone, there is every chance I should have 6K by the end of the month, as the boni are everywhere and I don't even have a "multi" account yet! It all depends on business, as I think you have only a certain amount of "creative hours" per day...No matter how tired I am, I'm sure I play more hours than Kenny! LOL
Speaking of Kenny (who is always supportive, and urging me to move up) this is why I have not done so...My BR has been built MAINLY on chasing bonuses...I have no long term track record at the 25 NL, and I kind of fell into the 50s as my BR grew...My 50 NL numbers are mind boggling, but I also know that cannot last, so I still want to prove to myself that I can win over many, many 1000's of hands...Having said that, I really should move to the 20 buck SNG's since I have tons of confidence there (and it's a great way to release the PStars bonus)...
The Cryptos are waiting, but I think I will wait 5 or 6 days before hitting them, as the whores are all out now...

I'm sippin' on a tumbler of Makers Mark....Yummy........I may play later---we will see...

A pretty quiet weekend overall---I have been arranging things in my new place and just "puttering" around...I played a little Fri night, but ice cold cards and I wasn't in the mood, so I quit early and took a book to bed...

On Saturday, I entered the 500FPP 'thing" at Stars for a seat in the 500K NL on Sunday; I played well but fell short at around 80th---9 seats win an entry...I played a couple 20 buck SNGs after that, came in 3rd and 4th and called it a night...

Didn't do much today (Sunday) either, just did some laundry and read A LOT of other poker blogs...I played a couple MTT's this afternoon, but could't get anything going, so I am now back on the Crypto's getting the bonuses cleared (and winning a bit as well)...LOL I'm actually winning at LIMIT!! What the hell is going on? I am getting hit by the deck pretty good, but that is supposed to happen every once in awhile-right??

I am a little amused at the "controversy" about Party splitting off...Nothing stays the same kids, just ask people who got laid off from IBM and the other companies that "NEVER" lay off anyone...Adapt to change like any good poker player, and all will be well...

I finally finished my last book, and have started on another--a short book review in a day or two...Time for a re fill-GL all...

I just finished my 2nd Crypto bonus and happened to kick ass at the same time!! There is little doubt my LIMIT game is not that much better than a couple weeks ago, but the deck keeps hitting me and the Cryptos are (at least for the moment) filled with calling stations. Man, you just gotta love it!! I have never seen the Cryptos be so easy, since it is usually a BW haven---maybe I waited long enough for them to be done-who knows?
I picked up 100 just now, and close to that last night plus the 50 (times2), so things are cool...

It will be very interesting in the coming months regarding bonuses and rakebacks having to do with the Party split. The split does not affect me at all, since I never had multiple "skin" accounts...I have never hidden the fact that I go after the bonuses, but I also have been damn diligent about working on my game as well. These latest developments in the online world may well be a boon to all the serious players out there, and maybe those damn nut peddling hardcore whores will go find real F'n jobs!! There is lots of talk about buy outs and takeovers of various sites, but the bottom line is I am a poker player, and I was happy playing online before I ever heard about bonuses. We will see what happens...
I will do the reload at Stars as well, but probably wait till the last day or 2, in case something else comes along---I have 2 or 3 already stacked since I haven't played as many SNG's as I used to.

I am getting VERY comfortable playing 100NL now, although I haven't played too much this month. I am a little more cautious than I should be, but the players do not intimidate me at all, so Kenny-you were right as usual. Although I have not won a dime at 100NL this month, but it feels like a good fit so far...If I was a true BW, I sure as hell wouldn't be playing 100 NL!! LOL

I hear a table calling my name---GL all...

Yeah i'm in agreement with you.... BW's probably just ruin the sites. I like to play and get bonuses on occasion, but I'm no whore. I rebuy once every two months on bodog and that adds up to a lot just by itself.

The Week in Review---

-BR---4000 plus

-Mecos King and I had to resort to a couple IM's to get our BTP fix while the site was down...It was fun chatting with him...It was hard to believe, but one morning it was 8:30 and he "claimed" he hadn't had a drink yet-I was so proud LOL...Seriously, it was strange not being able to access BTP for a couple days...

-It was a VERY stressful week at work...As most know I am a commodity broker, and naturally my small firm deals directly with Refco (one look at the financial pages and you will know what I am talking about)...It won't affect anyone's money, but it is a royal pain in the ass since most the clients confidence flies out the window. We will probably do a mass transfer next week, and I hope to hell we won't have to do new paperwork on everyone.

-I watched Xas and Piers in their HU battle, but it was moving so fast, I didn't chat at all (I didn't want to bother them)...Looked well played on both sides to me, with Xas holding over Piers when it counted...

-I still think Iceman's "troubles" are due to variance...

And finally, my poker exploits---
I am suffering a slight case of poker burn out for the time being. I have been doing OK, winning a little (and getting the bonuses) with no terrible bad beat stories, I just haven't been in the mood as much lately. While I generally agree with the idea one should only play when they feel capable of the "A" game, I think this refers more to NL and PL games, since the lower LIMIT games are beatable in the long term by playing "ABC" poker, and that is what I have been doing. Even tournaments are pretty much ABC in the early going, and if you start getting close to the money, the adrenaline will kick in and the monster "A" game will appear!! I truly believe one has only so many "creative hours" per day, and unfortunately, I have been wasting them at work!! I actually slept in a bit today, and feeling well rested, so maybe I will get in some quality hours this weekend.

I have finished a couple more books with short reviews to follow soon...

GL all....

Bobby, your thoughts on "creative hours" ring a bell with me, and remind me of a story someone once told me. It seems that there was a farmer, and every morning he'd wake up to his beloved roosters call, and then set about his days work...ya know, milkin cows, planting seeds, whatever the fuck farmers do. And every night, he's watch the sun softly set over his thriving acres, and be filled with feelings of joy and serenity. But one morning, he woke up at a later time, and upon further inspection realized that his beloved rooster had died. And so he shot himself in the head, which was quite fatal. He had no living descendants, and no will; so the government auctioned off his land, which Walmart quickly purchased. To the best of my knowledge, their superstore now does a thriving business.
