another question... was my betting on the turn correct? read on villain was that he was pretty average on all fronts.

1) should i have bet full pot? part of me likes the aggression. if nothing else, i represent the wheel, so another non-wheel low might lay down. that being said, it's not that unusual for villain to hold the wheel. so did i need to lose this much?

2) should i have (gasp!) check-folded? since i was oop, a wheeled villain could have easily let me dig my own grave by calling the turn and hoping i bet out on the river (i probably wouldn't have if i didn't fill up). it makes me cringe just thinking about it, but i want to offer it up as one alternative.

i think that these are somewhat nuanced questions, but i would like some feedback if possible.

Check folding isn't too bad here. I might bet a little bit on the off chance he had a little bit of the flop but doesn't have a flush draw (like a high wrap, two pair, a low that the 3 has counterfeited etc). So I don't think betting out is too bad either. If you have him down as a tricky player perhaps just check folding is best as he's liable to take you off the hand sooner or later unless you boat up, even if you've got half the pot.
