You know you've got this game. It must be something in the water lately, as a lot of solid players (myself included) have visited the tank in the last week or so. Advice? Walk away for a day or two. New perspective will do you good.

Remember, you don't learn this game in a day, you don't forget how to play in a day.

My sympathies on the loss--I know how it feels, but that's why we have bankrolls--to absorb the shitty days. Take a day or two off, then get back to what you do best--separating fish from their money.

Not enough times, and I have been looking around to re-read it during this break and it seems as though I am going to have to purchase my third copy of it. What makes you say that? The fact that anytime anyone ever posts about another book I just say "No, just read The Theory of Poker. Seriously." God that book is amazing.

Yesterday I went to my favorite sushi place which is a long drive away so that was a fairly relaxing experience. I got the uzusukuri suzuki. MmMm. However I prefer dipping it in soy to the ponzu they give you. To each his own. I also got Oyster Katsu, a half order of Spider Shrimp Roll, and last but not least, the best dessert I've ever had, Tempura Ice Cream. Am I the only sushi freak on this website!? I know JDLush likes it, but he almost certainly doesn't check my silly journal. Poker? Oh ok.

I am in the process of doing a gigantic cashout. I'm going put $10,000 into my savings account so I can get some interest, cause currently all my money sits on internet poker sites and in my checking account. Whatever I have after that is going to be my new "bankroll" which will be smaller and keep me where I win consistently, and thats the $10/$20 (6 max) at partypoker, at least for the time being.

I came out of retirement today and cleared $10 on Absolute bonus. However, it cost me $600 to do so. Luckily I was also on partypoker kicking ass and taking names and I made $1092 there. So I came out $502 ahead. So basically the tables are tougher on Absolute, so tough in fact that quad tabling with no poker tracker info and playing on auto-pilot, I think my EV is somewhere around neutral. Why am I there? Because they have a bunch of bonuses. What is my decision? Until you can auto-import hand histories into pokertracker there, it's not worth my time. I love you Partypoker, I don't know how I ever thought of leaving you!

So to summarize, I am currently shrinking my bankroll in order to seperate "Savings" and my bankroll. Up until this point I had just considered everything I had as a part of my bankroll. Once I get an apartment I will need to have a definite seperation, so I'm starting now and going to get myself use to regular withdrawls and all that jazz that a pro living independantly does. Once I get that straightened out (shouldn't take more than a week) I'll probably just crush Partypoker, with some Interpoker and Pacific Poker thrown in.
