What is your plan of attack from this point?

This was one of the tables that i was totally laggy at so I don't think that anyone respected my raise. However this was the first time I had re-raise though I am not sure anyone was paying attention.

The short stack was a total fish, but the other big stack was an interesting player. He was tight pre-flop (VP$IP around 25) but he was a showdown monkey when he entered hands. He was a little laggy too and I had been out lagging him and pushing him around.

LOL I just realized my VP$IP for this session is 25 and my PFR is 16!

well, against an sd monkey, i probably let them take it down. you don't have much of a leg to stand on.

if you decide to stay in, i would CR so that you can:

- try to induce a bluff
- get all of your money in on the flop, which allows you to...
- increase fold equity with a big bet, and...
- see both cards and hopefully catch a backdoor kind of something

if you check-fold (what i would probably do), you also put the seed of doubt into their minds... "hhmmm, he will lay down if he has nothing, so when he jams, he _must_ have something... right?"

I am begining to wonder if the re-raise was correct OOP against another large stack who I assume is going to call.

yeah... i think i would save the pf reraising for times when i have position. very good point.

I repop preflop - really hard to build a big pot in O8 against goons unless you can make it to the felt in a couple of bets. However lots of people whose opinions I respect disagree with me on that one. We also must bare in mind that I suck at O8 .

Flop is kinda tough. If you think there's a chance the guy with money left might drop, i'd consider a bet, maybe half pot or something, just to shift him if he missed totally, then probably clam up and fold if necessary. There's a mini side pot that it'd be nice to swipe, and if you're not ahead already you probably have some equity against the all in guy with two cards to come. I wouldn't give up JUSt yet.
