I don't like it. It would normally be chip spewing as at those limits, I rarely see someone call a big turn raise and fold for that amount on the river. You have nothering but an overpiar and gutshot to the non nut straight on a board that already has a straight possible. Of course, I don't play much shorthanded.

agreed... and i would be more likely to try to settle it on the flop with a pot-sized bet.

You need to check-call on the river, rather than betting. You will not make him fold a king by betting out, and he will fold all the hands that are losing to you. However, if you check-call, you are STILL losing the money if he has a king but you might make him bet a weaker hand as a bluff. More value in the long term.

Nice advice Monk. I thought he mgiht have had two low pair and I would get a call on the river with the big bet, but it's probably better to check-call here.

I bet quite aggressivly when I play and that and my seeming looseness often induce a lot of people to call me down with really slim holdings; I tend to take a few pots without showdown and people get frustrated.
