What are considered the most desirable stats in regards to VP$IP, Post Flop Aggression, Showdowns seen, Showdowns won, etc...

If your playing low limit NL VPIP should be no more than 30%. The play is so bad at that level that personally i believe playing any tighter than that is -EV.my Preflop raising maybe 10%, and at least 50% won at showdown. my2c.

30% is way too high. You should be closer to 16-24% Also raising 10% of the tim epreflop will get you killed unless you play VERY well post flop. My VIP% is about 17%. If I was raising 10%, that would mean Im raising over half of the hands I play.

The winningest players in my database are the very patient players who anter the pot about 17-20% of the time and raise about 3.5%- 4%

If you pay tight lie I suggest you should be winning about 60% of your showdowns.

For the 25c/50c NL tables you can have a look at the comparative stats for the various player types here
poker-tracker-part-2a-page44.html

My DB seems to show average optimum Vp$iP at that level at 25%, with optimum PFR around the 10% mark (provided it's backed up by post-flop agression as well)

As Ice makes clear above, at the higher levels both these need to come down dramatically

I yeild to your superior wisdom iceman, my stats are roughly that although my PFR is around 8% not the 10 i thought. The problem i have with VPIP though is that the preflop play on Prima is very passive and you can limp in with a lot of marginal hands that you wouldnt call a raise with. even with that stat I still average 23BB/100 at the 10-20$ tables there.

double-checked my DB as follows:

Vp$iP at 25c and 50c NL tables (33,000 hands played in person (more mined), 12,500 rated players)

Aggressive Pre-Flop (PFR7%+) and post-flop (PFA 1.2+)
TAA - Tight Aggressive Aggressives
15% or less - average BB/100 - minus 1
15%-25% - average BB/100 - plus 8.6
20-25% - average BB/100 - plus 8.4
You can't fiter in a range on PT from the prefs screen (I would need to re-do my autorate rules to do 20-25% only - but it looks as though 15-20% and 20-25% produce very similar results)
Over 25% and you wouldn't be a TAA of course..

BUT here is the big shock
sLAA - slighly loose aggressive aggressives
25-30% - plus 12.75

25-35% plus 13.46 (so 30-35% seem slightly better than 25-30%)
25-40% plus 9.45 (so win rates drop off 35%+)

Couple of cavetas here - Vanilla players (Vp$IP 25-35%, PFR 7-9, PFA 1.2-2) are excluded from the sLAA's - when I put them back in I can see that those SLAA's who are also vanilla with Vp$iP 25-30% are big winners - +21BB/100, whilst those with Vp$iP more than 30% are losing 7BB/100.

Secondly these are players rated after 20 hands - the higher the Vp$iP for aggressive players, the more of them are likely to have busted out without getting rated - so there is a need to make a small adjustment in favour of the tighter ones.

So overall on the 25c and 50c NL tables - it does look like the optimal range of flops (if you an agressive player) is 25-30%. I had expected it to be in the 20-25% range to be honest, but there you go.
Certainly if you play 15% of flops or less you are too tight.

Now.. let me go away and look at PFR%...

OK - PFR%

TAA's
Between 7-10% - +5.49
Greater than 10% - +11.62
Greater than 12% - +7.09
Greater than 15% - -30 (minus)

SLAA's
Between 7-10% - +13.33
Greater than 10% - +5.33
Greater than 12% - +3.46
Greater than 15% - - +10.42 (this is getting near maniac and may be an artefact of lots of players busting out before 20 hands - only 23% of these are around to be rated at 50 hands by which time their BB/100 has dropped to 7.4))

Otherwise it's more or less as you would expect. TAA's have premium starting hands and should be raising 10-12% of the time they put money in, SLAA play more marginal hands and so should raise pre-flop a little less (7-10%).

Now let's just check those who raise pre-flop less than 7% but are still aggressive after.

TPA (tight passive aggressives)
PFR <5% +1.1
PFR 5-7% - +2.54

sLPA (slightly loose passive aggressives)
PFR<5% +4.31
PFR 5-7% +2.69

Again the tight players benefit from rasiing a little more - I don't understand why it's better for a sLPA to raise less than 5% though - unless you somehow benefit from disguising your hand if you limp a lot (less than 3% PFR was +3.31 btw)

Still the optimum stats for Vi$ip and PFR do seem to be Vp$iP 25-30% and PFR 7-10%

I guess as those are in line with my stats in these games (last 10,000 hands
Vp$ip 26.5%, PFR 8.9% and BB/100 9.59 (PT style) I should be happy.
