If you can play 4 SNGs at a time and still have a 40% ROI, then you are a SNG god.

I sure cant play 4 at a time. Ive only met 1 guy who could do it, but Im not sure what his stats look like. Theres no way you could do it if you didnt stagger them. Try playing 3 or 4 of them at the same time when its donw to 4 handed.

A good SNG player can average about half the entry fee per hour. In my opinion, playing more than 2 at a time is suicide.

When I stopped playing SNGs quite a while ago I was somewhere around 48% ROI and 48% ITM, but I could never play more than 1 at a time confidently.

I can play 3 ring games without too much loss of EV, so for me the ring games are much much more profitable, which explains why I havent played a SNG in over a year.

They ARE fun though.

[size=18]well spoken Ice...i've tried 2 SNG's at the same time, and it's madness toward the end...but today tried 2 rings, .50/1.00 NL, and it was easy...i noticed one can't read many online tells, how quickly they check, etc. , but then realized that most of it is in the bets and so forth...so i may switch over...and yes, it WAS fun! those guys were WAY too loose...limping in with almost anything, hoping to catch a flop i guess....couple of WILD men...but they didn't last too long. verrrrry interesting....and a 3x raise didn't run too many off...
One hand was funny, i wasn't in it, but board was AKJ27, suits didn't matter, it had built up to a big pot, and UTG checked it on the river, after both were betting and calling, yes, it induced a big bet, about half the raisers stack, UTG waited, and waited, let his seconds go down, and down, by then i knew what he had and planned to do...sure enough, with 2 seconds left he went all in over the top...the other guy didn't hesitate and called...guess what UTG had...nahhh, don't bother, it's too easy...heh
i gotta get me a big screen!!

At the $10 level you can definetely have a 40% ROI 4 tabling. Staggering the start times helps, but I know there are MANY players on the 2plus2 that are able to do this successfully. It is difficult at first, but gets easier if you adjust.

Here is an interesting post I read a few weeks ago. A guy and his backer played 150 SnGs ($33) in 24 hours.

Sure it is unsustainable, but it is still a good run.
----------------------
Well, it's always nice to sustain unsustainable numbers during a SNG challenge. It took us 12 hours to finish 150 SNGs (including a 2 hour lunch break). We ended up playing all $33's.

IRIEGUY:

84 SNGs played
37 ITM
44% ITM
48% ROI
Total $ won: $1338

MCPHERZEN:

65 SNGs played
33ITM
50.8% ITM
61.6%
Total $ won: $1335

Good way to end the year.

staggering...

Postby WildBillHickok » Fri Jan 21, 2005 7:28 pm

yep, seems you'd have to stagger the SNG's...but still...wow...4 or 5? you got a big S on your chest?
2 rings has become easy now for me, with my small screen and just keep ckicking back and forth...man these guys play Q10o's, J9's, A2's...K9's, any junk for a limp...

Question Brian, or anyone...the 3x BB doesn't scare them off, i'm trying now 4x BB, for every raise almost regardless the hand...but for every $1 limper (i'm talking .50/1.00 NL here) do you add another buck to the $4? or just make it 4 or 5 BB raise no matter how many limpers...unless of course you have a killer, AA or KK, which i know how to handle....
Trying to fine tune here, thx for advice...i'm finding however, that being a good SNG specialist, with just a few tweaks, you're already a pretty good ring player...WAY too many all in guys tho...so pays to take notes...Maniacs will all in with nothing, and some will all in when they have the goods...guess one has to know them to decide who to call, eh?
