I have a nerf football shaped like a brain (one of the coolest things ever). I used to wait till folks I knew were indulging and be like "do you want to see your brain on drugs?" and then whip it out. Hilarity ensues.

I played a bunch of SNGs today. I made a couple big mistakes in a few of them. Like when it 6-handed, blinds were 150/300, I had 2600 chips and picked up K7 in MP3. I open-push, even though I really didn't need to. The big stack isolates me by pushing all-in with AJs and I lose. I was in no hurry to double up or steal yet. Whoops!

At the same time turbos have more variance since you need to push more, the players are worse at turbos since most of them don't know about push-botting. There's not much you can do when you have less than 10x BB, it's 6-handed, and you pick up AQs UTG. It's an insta-push, it just sucks two other players had decent hands - AK and 66.

Maria tells me she wants to chill with me again and asks me what I'm doing this weekend. I tell her I'd also like to see her again and we'll work something out. We'll go from there, I guess.

Earlier tonight my neighbor John invited me to play a poker tourney at one of his friend's apartments with some people. All of them were bad players - and I took first place. It was only a $5 buy-in so I only won $20.

I have a date later tonight with one of those girls I like, Allison. She wants to talk with me about something, and I have something I want to talk with her about as well. Vague enough? Right! What I want to talk with her about is the status of our relationship. I asked her out last year, not knowing she had a bf, but she's single again now.

My neighbor Jon asked me to compare Allison and Maria, so I told him, "Maria is more interesting and has slightly larger boobs, but Allison is slightly prettier." If I could be in a relationship with one or the other, then I'd easily go for Maria. But if something develops with Allison, I am "all-in"!

I've had some terrible variance lately in the SNGs, being put in weird situations like being all-in with KK against AA AND AKs. And for some reason nearly everytime I have the dominating hand, like AQ v AJ, I lose not to AJ hitting the kicker, but the straight. I've started to not even want to see my kicker hit anymore in these situations! I'm just like "NO JACK NO JACK NO JACK" and that's all.

I remember another classic hand... loose button min-raises, I'm in the SB with AKs and have about 11x BB, I raise all-in, the short-stacked BB calls, and loose button calls with KQo. K on the flop, Q on the turn. MOTHA FUCKA!!

I also finally made the $79 investment on , a more advanced application for determining when a push or call is +EV. It goes well beyond ICM calculations and does all the math for you instantly. I highly recommend it to anyone who plays a lot of SNGs. It's amazing how many times it's +EV to push with nearly any two cards when you're short-stacked and on the button or SB.

I still play the pussy stakes, 6.5s and $16s. Lately I've been getting the shit variance on the 6.5s. You all know what bad beats are like, I'd hope. 2 outters, 3 outters, 4 outters, all that. And people calling all-in with 7-high, 9-high, and Q-high (why do people seem to love QJo so much?) to beat your A-high, pocket pair, or complete trash.
