Haha nice turn around man. I saw something on 2+2 the other day that was sick. Guy logged 80,000 hands at $30/$60 and was up less than one small bet for the whole stretch. Sickening.

I really hope that isn't after rakeback/bonuses

Nice start to the morning as Poker Plex is still 300 dealt as of now so got credit for the 50 plus another 50 for some unbeknownst reason which I did not ask about.

Shitty first evening session as I dropped over 140 at 4 tables of 2-4 on Pokerroom with some nasty beats, AK capped preflop by me and two others, Flop AA4, guy has A4. Flopped a set versus AK on a 5 way capped preflop pot on three flush board he has A spade and rivers flush, etc. Played just one lap on 5-10 there and first hand in BB get 1010 and call a raise with 3 others and flopped a set so made a little back.

A short session this evening as I have been puttering around downloading various other sites. For some reason Trident has had my withdrawal request denied back into Neteller twice now so got a thousand or so floating around in cyberspace that I would like to have access to to deposit in some of these new sites. Did make an initial deposit into BetFred a few minutes ago for the 100 bonus for 1000 raked hands. Only played a couple of laps as I have to run an errand but the players really suck there and from my experience at the sister Noble poker. Looks like the traffic is picking up a little bit as there were three pretty rocking 12 limit games going as well as several other games of various limits.

Knocked out another hour session at BetFred. Just laughable play there. Had one horrendous beat right out of the gate when I flopped top set but after that pretty much busted their asses in the few hands I was involved in. Going to play in the 3K freeroll at PokerRoom in a few minutes, see if I can't quadruple up right at the beginning or get knocked out early. I have actually had pretty good success in those freerolls when I put an effort in to playing them. Just a little late for me though to get real bogged down in one unless I start out real well, no time adjustment in Venezuela so I am 1 hour ahead of EST now so pretty late for me.

Played the 3K limit freeroll and finished 98 out of 1003 for a tidy profit of 7.50  Ran into a couple of tough beats at critical points that might have gotten me further along but that shit happens I suppose.

Hand of the day thus far. Played some 4-8 Stud at Pokerroom with a couple of fools. They did manage to put some bad beats on me but this hand more than made up for it after I was down about 150.00. When played properly Stud is probably the most volatile poker game around in regard to up and down swings, not for the weak of heart.

Seat 1: dracul777 [xx,xx,2S,5H,AD,4S,xx] ($37.40 in chips)
Seat 2: Snipes 75 [xx,xx,KD,AH,JH,AS,xx] ($570.50 in chips)
Seat 3: todds18p [xx,xx,5C,2H,9S,4C,xx] ($216.30 in chips)
Seat 8: DagnyTag [10D,7C,10S,6C,8C,8D,8H] ($217.90 in chips)

ANTES/BLINDS
dracul777 posts ante ($0.50), Snipes 75 posts ante ($0.50), todds18p posts ante ($0.50), DagnyTag posts ante ($0.50).

DEAL
(dracul777 gets xx), (Snipes 75 gets xx), (todds18p gets xx), (DagnyTag gets xx), (dracul777 gets xx), (Snipes 75 gets xx), (todds18p gets xx), (DagnyTag gets xx), (dracul777 gets 2S), (Snipes 75 gets KD), (todds18p gets 5C), (DagnyTag gets 10S), dracul777 is all-in (disconnected), Snipes 75 checks, todds18p checks, DagnyTag bets $4, Snipes 75 calls $4, todds18p calls $4.

4TH
(dracul777 gets 5H), (Snipes 75 gets AH), (todds18p gets 2H), (DagnyTag gets 6C), Snipes 75 bets $4, todds18p calls $4, DagnyTag bets $8, Snipes 75 calls $4, todds18p bets $8, DagnyTag bets $8, Snipes 75 calls $8, todds18p calls $4.

In this situation what could the guy really have that I am scared of with 2,5 showing and another 2.5 in the other guys hand yet he three bets me when it gets back to him, cappuchino sir  In situations like this were you may not even have the best hand but certainly have the second best hand you should be putting in max bets, one in an attempt to knock other people out thus improving your chances of winning the hand which is also made up for with the dead money in the pot when you are trailing.

5TH
(dracul777 gets AD), (Snipes 75 gets JH), (todds18p gets 9S), (DagnyTag gets 8C), Snipes 75 bets $8, todds18p bets $16, DagnyTag bets $24, Snipes 75 calls $16, todds18p bets $16, DagnyTag calls $8, Snipes 75 calls $8.

Same thing here, Snipes may be ahead of me right now but I just can't see todds having anything to be that afraid of, I also picked up a gut shot straight draw as well as a backdoor flush draw and my cards are live so I am putting in some bets here.

6TH
(dracul777 gets 4S), (Snipes 75 gets AS), (todds18p gets 4C), (DagnyTag gets 8D), Snipes 75 bets $8, todds18p calls $8, DagnyTag calls $8.

that was a real shit 6th street for me as the guy catches a pair of aces and the other guy catches another wheel card but now the pot is too big to go anywhere with what I figure 7 outs to a win if I catch my boat or my inside straight.

7TH
(dracul777 gets xx), (Snipes 75 gets xx), (todds18p gets xx), (DagnyTag gets xx), Snipes 75 bets $8, todds18p calls $8, DagnyTag bets $16, Snipes 75 calls $8, todds18p calls $8.

Sweet 7th street, thanks for coming out boys

Redeposited in FTP for the 300 reload. Clears damn slow but the games seem to have picked up in number of idiots per table ratio so probably won't be that bad. Also deposited for the bet365 bonus (50.00 for new players and 100 for the month). Fired up 8 tables (3 FTP, 3 Prima, 2 Cryptos) and they were flying. Software on all of them really quick so it was all I could do to keep up. Only timed out a couple of times so not bad.

If nothing else playing at a bunch of different sites has lessened the monotony of playing only at Empire and is providing quite a bit of extra cash via bonuses to go along with it, not to mention not having to face a table full of tight aggressives everytime I sit down.

At the current moment I have right at 2000 in bonuses to clear not counting the 1400 monstrosity sitting in UB. Quite a bit of playing to knock them all off but I think a reasonable chance to get to them all done by the end of the month.

Last session was pretty shitty with alot of beats that makes me question whether some people have any gray matter at all between their ears but did manage to finish up the new player bonus at bet365 for 50.00 to ease the pain.

A preliminary year end synopsis

Postby piersmajestyk » Thu Nov 03, 2005 8:44 pm

Decided to look over my year to date to get a breakdown of what was happening. In some ways very good stuff in regard to winning days on average but some real shitty stuff as well. My main problem this year has been compounding small losses into big ones on several occasions by at times playing too high in an attempt to wash out smaller losses. I know better than that shit and it is something that I should not fall prey too at this point in my career. Losses are going to happen from time to time and the only thing you can do is realize this and not turn it into a nightmare day which I have ultimately failed in doing this year. While I have only had 21 losing days this year 10 of those days are for a pretty nasty figure combining for over a -15K loss. That is something that is no longer going to happen at least not in the format as it did in chasing losses. If I have a 1000-1500 loss playing 10-20 I can handle that but running into bad luck at the 30-60 game just isn't something that is going to get the chance to happen until the BR is sufficient to play those games. Hopefully there is something to be gained by this as a lesson in what not to do.

Also going to make a better effort in continuing to increase my working hours per day. I have been alot better in doing this over the last two months but there is still room for improvement.

BIG smile from me, my friend- :D

Because of your many updates, it was pretty easy to see that you would chase the losses in the "regular games", and try to get even at the bigger games...I always thought-"That damn Piers is too smart for that shit" , but I knew you were doing it...Great analysis of your own weakness, and DONT do it anymore!!

GL bro....

Wow! What a nasty start to the weekend. Had to stop the session at 1 hour as it was getting pretty bloody as I recorded losses at 6 of 7 tables I had going with some brutal beats. My personal favorite here:

PokerStars 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is SB with [Ac], [Kh].
2 folds, UTG+2 raises, 5 folds, Hero 3-bets, BB calls, UTG+2 calls.

Flop: (9 SB) [Ad], [6c], [4c] (3 players)
Hero bets, BB calls, UTG+2 calls.

Turn: (6 BB) [7h] (3 players)
Hero bets, BB calls, UTG+2 calls.

River: (9 BB) [9c] (3 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, UTG+2 folds, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 13 BB
Results in white below:
Hero has Ac Kh (one pair, aces).
BB has 8d Td (straight, ten high).
Outcome: BB wins 13 BB.

Jesus mutherphucking christ. Seems they let the nut house open but all the clients are toting glocks. Just getting shafted by shit hand after shit hand today.

It sure ain't been pretty but managed to climb out of the negative debacle with the help of a PokerStars bonus.

Got a couple of friend coming over for the night so I am rustling up some shrimp fettuncini and packing it in for the day. Rough day at the office, hopefully tomorrow is better.
