Stars used to be pretty juicey in those games. More aggressive play tends to be rewarded there, though, same as at UB. Might improve your all-round game to learn to play a little more aggressively, though. I don't think preflop play is going to make or break your PLO game so I wouldn't lose too much sleep over your raising shyness. No-one's likely to notice too much in these games, though you might lose a few bucks here and there, same as at 25PLO IMO.
Mostly your game isn't hugely different to mine and I've always done fine in the 50s, 100s, 200s, 400s. I'd say give it a try.
