Project 160 Hours - WEEK 2

Postby kennyg » Sun Nov 14, 2004 5:00 pm

For those of you who didn't know...I've been trying to play 40 hours a week to see how much I can make and if I could do it. So far it looks like I can't. I think my max is about 30 hours a week. I only did about 20 this week because my last session was so horrible.. I had to leave after an hour and would not play again, for fear of tilt and bad play.

I lost $450 the last session in an hour's time. Worst session I've ever had! What amazes me is even after that session, I still pulled in over $40 an hour for the week. Thats my target goal...but still..I hope I can keep it over $50-$60 an hour by the end of the month.

btw, I play two tables at the same time. NL 100 max buy in on Party/Empire. 1/2 blinds.

Anyway, other then that disgusting session it was a good week. here are the stats for last week. Below it are the stats for the month.

PROJECT 160 HOURS WEEK 2

Total won: $788.57
Hours played: 18.78
Hourly win rate: $41.98
Sessions: 21
Session win: 66.67%
VP$IP: 22.75%
PF raise: 4.25%
Won $ when seeing flop: 36.52%
went to showdown: 16.44 %
Won $ at showown: 58.14 %

I think my "won $ when seeing flop percentage" is great, considering I play many hands. My steals are working, and giving me lots of small pots that are adding up over the long haul.

November Total Stats:
Total won: $2545.17
Hours played: 40.22
Hourly win rate: $63.29 :D
Sessions: 40
Session win: 70.00%
VP$IP: 22.86%
PF raise: 4.09%
Won $ when seeing flop: 34.08%
went to showdown: 17.39 %
Won $ at showown: 56.72 %

Any comments on the stats guys? Is your PF raise percentage higher...how about the Won $ when seeing flop.?

Any insightful comments, postive or negative, are appreicated.

Your stats are very very good.
I do think you current hourly win rate is unsustainable at $63/hr. I think playing 2 $100 tables, about $45-$50 will be about the max that is sustainable and that is only for the very best of players which you appear to be. I say this based on my stats and the stats of over 10000 players in my database.

You are playing quite a few more hands than I am.
My VIP% is 17%
Won $ at showdown is 58%
Won when seeing flop 34%
PF raise is 3.6%

Well after this very bad run I've hit, my hourly rate total has gone to $42. Still a good figure. It's my goal to get this number back to $50 by the end of the month. I honestly think it can be done. But should I really be upset with $40 an hour? A couple of months ago if someone told me that was my hourly rate , I'd tell them to wake up. It's a good feeling.

I'm in agreement with you here. I'm thinking $50 an hour is the highest sustainble number. Anything over that is fluctation. But hopefully I can prove you and me wrong huh? :)
