70 / 30s in SNGs

Postby EscapePlan9 » Fri Nov 25, 2005 10:22 pm

Twice I was knocked OTM in tourneys from losing 70/30 battles, and another time I placed 3rd from losing a 70/30. I know... in the long run I want these players to be calling with their crap KT and whatever.

I pickup KK MP and raise 3x BB. Two loose callers. The flop comes uncoordinated and Q-high. I bet the pot and one of the loose players raises all-in, the other loose player is massively big-stacked and calls the all-in. I re-raise and put myself all-in. The big-stacked loose player instacalls with Q2 (WTF?). The first caller had QT. The river brings up the deuce and I'm out.

6-handed, CO min-raises and is semi-loose. I'm in the BB with KQo and only have 11x BB, so I push all-in. He waits for a few seconds, then calls with KTo. All blanks until the river brings a T and I'm out.

3-handed, loose player limps (and often has folded to raises after limping), I have 9x BB (200/400 blinds)and push all-in with A8o. He instacalls for half of his entire stack with 98s. 9 on the flop and I'm out.

Let's add another 70/30 loss to the list.

6-handed, loose LP min-raises, I have KK and re-raise all-in with my 11x BB. He calls with ATo. Ace on the river.
