You're not looking to make 100k a year, but with your talent, extra cash flow, and spare time don't you think this is an achievable goal within 6 months to a year? I think it is.

You know you have the skill to win big Brian. You just have to come to term with variance and bigger amounts. I am one to talk cause I have problems with variance as well (as u know). But overall I cannot think of a more suited player to be able to win big. You've got it, u just need to pull the trigger! Then ull be counting the money in no time!

FInished the empire bonus making only about $30 from play but another $100 from bonus. Not bad but nowhere good.

I lost a ton of small pots to short stacks when I couldn't see how to get away. Would get all in preflop with AAxx good side cards against 2 short stacks and lose to 2 pair from a guy with KKxx. Lose trips to better trips or boat. Got my 2 pair counterfitted twice on the river. Lose top two and flush draw to oesd that hits on turn. Hands like that. If just 2 of those turn my way, I'm up about another 40-50. Oh well. Tomorrow is another day.

Some hands

For all you who think I only post big wins or suck outs, he's a hand I butchered pretty badly. I tried to semi-bluff in late position and just kept firing. I convinced myself on every street that the bet was good. "he might think I have the flush" "he might fold to the board paired" I should have saved over $6 here.

I have too many outs to fold after the flop I think. Even if he pushes back with top set and that's what I would put him on, I think I have to call it anyway. No need to push the turn as he has to pay me off on the river and I might get to save $7.

Now that these bonuses are cleared, I'm on to PLO50. I deposited on Bodog and I have money on stars and Party which seems to be where many of the $50 level games play. I don't like stars, I've never played Bodog and Party is hit or miss. We'll see what happens. At least I'll work off some bonus on Bodog and Stars, even though Stars is painfully slow. Wish me luck.

well the first night of PLO50 was a success. I lost $50. Why did I say it was a success then? Because I felt completely comfortably and the only reason I was down was a boat on the river and some cold cards. I lost a 3 way pot I would have split for a full stack which is a $75 swing. I climbed back but then cold cards and some questionable situations bled me back to back a stack down.

I can't remember the last time I had a Royal Flush online but then something amazing happen. The very next hand on the same table, I get a K high straight flush. I don't really get paid off on either as is common but 2 hands, 2 straight flushes.

This is the hand that put me in the hole. High variance play by the UTG but oh well. this stuff happens. I wasn't too upset.

I'm very comfortable with my play and I found I don't even really have to change up my game. Also, the bonus works off quicker than I thought on stars, but still slow. Nothing much but this means I should have a possible $390 coming to me this month. Probably not all of it but I may be able to get 120 or 240 of it.

Tomorrow is another day.

Played about 2 hours and I was up $100. I should have been up more but I pissed away some money on a few hands. Always learning. This game is truly just as easy as $25 and I have no problem getting the money in there so things are looking good.

If anyone cares, some hands. You just wait around waiting for the 1 out of 20 hands where you will try to really win.

Don't slowplay a boat in omaha unless is high and only then, maybe. I fold to a raise on the flop (a real raise). After that, you got to fold to this kind of action.

I got lucky on this one as his hand is a favorite on the flop with so many outs and then he picks up an 8 as an out on the turn. I still like my all in on river and his call with a pair of 4's. Pot was huge so I only have to be absolutely bluffing 1 out of 17 times or so to make it worth it.

I was trying to catch this guy all night and finally got it. He has been letting me draw cheaply all night and never hit. This time I flop it and just have to avoid his 6 outs and do so nicely.

More than halfway to a $120 bonus on stars. Just signed up for $150 bonus on party and got $200+ in bonus waiting on Bodog.

On a funny side note, I had $139.80 sitting over on pacific, $135 of it was bonus money. $100 from inital deposit and $35 they gave me randomly. I made $4 playing on the tables like 2 months ago (got sucked out for $90 pot or would have that too) so I decided to just try to withdraw it. It couldn't hurt. Did that Monday and today it came through. $139 in my neteller account leaving 80 cents in pacific. SWEET! Got to love pacific.

I played a lot of party recently because of the two bonuses and released them both. So that's $250 in bonus and about another $130 in play. They only have plo25 since they rarely have plo50 tables going it seems so the $50 level move was on hold.

A few hands for any of you readers that can't wait to see how i play the nuts.

This guy was either tilting or trying to be ultra aggressive because i played with him before and don't remember him getting so uber aggressive so I decided to gamble. Not one of my usual plays as it involves raising preflop but i take situations like that sometimes.

how to play mind games with your opponents. people often fold to a bet that looks like a value bet.

Month so far is a little over 1400. Damn fine work being that i'm $60 away from breaking last months record with about 8 days to go. However, i won't be playing til at least saturday as i'm going away for thanksgiving. Also, almost $900 of it is bonus. Wow. Oh well. money is money. I expect to free another $120 in bonus on stars and hopefully win a little while playing. Things are looking up.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. After work tomorrow, you guys will have to deal without me til Saturday.

thanks for the response.

First hand - this player was tilting a bit and was raising a lot of hands and being that I closed the action, I decided to gamble it up that he didn't have KK and had something like AKxx. It was a marginal call but i was getin 2.5:1 on my money so I risked it. I normally don't and my read was wrong this time.

Second hand - converter messed up. I won the pot. It often messes up the results for omaha or just doesn't include them.

Third hand - This is much different than the other one since i'm the one pushing, not calling. I limp reraised preflop to get a good chunk of my stack in preflop thinking I can get heads up against saltamore who was raising literally every hand the last round and a half so you almost ignore him as you can't put him on a hand. Once I bet that preflop. I have to put it in on that flop because its very unlikely to hit someone's hand. Its a gamble but this is a more calculated gamble.

Fourth Hand - you are right, I am only 47% to win but that's pretty much the worse I can be. With the dead money in the pot, its obviously a definite push since basically the worse I can be is a coinflip and I can be very far ahead of many other hands.

I do want to separate my bankroll from my normal account but with me playing many sites, depositing for bonuses, it just makes it easier at the moment for it to be one account until I have more room in my finances to make me comfortable. A monthly or bi-monthly withdrawal from poker to my bank account would probably be a good idea. I will work on that.

The $50 tables are no problem mentally as I played a lot of NLHE on those tables so I'm used to shoving that much or more in at a time. I'm just trying to get it so I'm comfortable with doing that on the $100 tables where I could lose $100-$300 on one hand. I will work on that as I know i'm skilled enough to play their and I do have the bankroll. However, its not as replaceable as some people's br so i don't want to risk losing it.

I'm back! who missed me? no one? thought so. I was away for Thanksgiving visiting the parents. It was relaxing and nice so it was a good refresher. Got back on Saturday to go apartment shopping with my roommate and his brother. We got it down to 3 places and couldn't decide.

I knew I had the best place as my choice because the bedrooms were decent sized, it was cheapest and just well balanced overall. However, the exact move in time was in question but reasonable so they delayed and we didn't make the decision til a few days later and the place was gone. I'm pissed. Now we are gonna have to go with a place with much more common space but much smaller bedrooms that will end up costing me an extra $200 a month. My place had a gym included so I could get rid of my gym membership. Now there is no gym, smaller bedrooms and more expensive. This sucks but I got nothing else.

Saturday night, had a nice time out, went to a couple of bars with some friends. The first was one of the regular choices in princeton and it was dead. It was a little early but dead. 8 girls in the whole place within 20 years of me and 6 of them were together and lesbians. They were dancing and grinding on each other, making out. So at first you are like "hey, not bad" and then its like "shit, nothing here for us then" The other two we believe were lesbians too by the way they were acting but not sure. They were with 2 guys that were either gay too or their guys so we just chilled with the bartender who we are friends with and left after like 45 min.

Next place we go, we have a couple friends behind the bar so we are drinking, buying shots for them, having a good time just hanging and talking. Its 5 of us after a friend joins and one of my roommates girls show up, alone unfortunately. Couldn't bring anyone for the rest of us? We do as much as ask that and she just like "i don't have any friends" but she does have a cousin which me and my other friend were pushing for her to bring out with her one time. It was a good time and she was fun to talk to.

Actually, while me and my friend were talking to her, my roommate and the other guy go all the way to the other end of the bar, leaving his girl with us. What's that about? I know they aren't going out but he did invite her here and she's there for him. He explained that we were having a good conversation and decided he didn't need to be there and walked away. She didn't like it but it didn't affect later activities for them so oh well.

Sunday was just a lazy sunday. Beat a guy in a heads up tourney in 4 hands, 2 suck outs by me. :D , bubbled in the btp stud h/l event and that's pretty much it.

Monday was one hell of a night. My roommate and I go to Hooters for the game and meet up with a couple friends who were already there for a while. A few pitchers of beer get ordered and we don't drink too much but my friends do. However, they are experienced drinkers and don't have SO much and seem fine. The game is a dud so we decide to head over into princeton to a bar (the one with the lesbians).

On the way their (3 cars since we all drove ourselves and I came with my roommate) one of them hits a guardrail and messes up his car, wedging it under. Airbags deployed. He's trying to get triple A there (his dad canceled the service and he ends up having to renew) while we direct traffic on this single lane back woods road with 1 flashlight on the bend. A jeep almost hits ups (still had room but he slammed on his brakes). The cops show up and give my friend a sobriety test. He fucks it up and gets arrested for DWI.

Our other friend is freaking out as the cops tell us we can go and my friends like "we need to go to the bar, i need something to calm my nerves" Great. That makes a load of sense. We go there, its closing but my roommate knows the guy so we get in, my friend gets a quick drink and we discuss what we are gonna do.

About an 90 min later, we pick him outside of jail. he's surprising more calm than I thought. He spends the night at our house and my roommate takes him home the next day. His mom was pissed. Could have been worse, could have been better. I had no idea he had that much to drink and was drunk because he acted the same. Good thing he didn't hit anyone.

Tuesday morning was the day I found out the place we wanted was taken so that killed that day too.

Oh yeah, played some PLO50 on bodog and stars yesterday. Down 40 but closer to some bonus money.

More and more people putting stories in their journals rather than poker so I figured I would try to keep you guys interested with a little drinking and lesbians.

Hope you enjoyed it because this shit doesn't happen often.

Hey not bad! Nothing like a degenerate story to keep the degenerates interested. The storys was not bad, but then this little gem came along, which made it pretty damn sweet-

"Our other friend is freaking out as the cops tell us we can go and my friends like "we need to go to the bar, i need something to calm my nerves"

-Thats pretty tite, extra titeness points awarded if that individual was driving also.

MK - yes, the guy that said he needed to go to the bar was driving the third car.

MVP - we go to that bar a decent amount when we go out and this was the first time it was like that so it was really weird. Also, we were told that two of the girls were cops in the township. No real point for saying that but I thought it was a interesting fact.
