Yessir its a pain in the tail to import the HHs to PT from paradise. just keep manually loading each hundred hands. Its my understanding that this also makes GT+ nearly useless, do you agree?

Oh its definitely a pain, but worth it in my opinion.

Takes about 15 seconds per 100 hands man. Save the HH, then import like 10 at a time. Do it.

2 Day Update...

11/28/2005

Very bad session, to the point where my play actually suffered and I pissed away 2 buy ins. Here is one 9thoughts appreciated):

Paradise Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed)

UTG+1 ($231.50)
MP1 ($48.00)
MP2 ($96.50)
MP3 ($122.50)
Hero ($98.25)
Button ($56.50)
SB ($130.00)
BB ($78.25)
UTG ($89.50)

Preflop: Hero is CO with [As], [Jc]. SB posts a blind of $0.50.
1 fold, UTG+1 calls $1, 3 folds, Hero calls $1, Button calls $1, SB (poster) completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($5) [Jd], [Tc], [8h] (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG+1 bets $5.5, Hero raises to $12, Button folds, SB folds, BB calls $12, UTG+1 calls $6.50.

Turn: ($41) [Ac] (3 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $20, BB raises to $40, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls $20.

River: ($121) [5c] (2 players)
BB bets $25.25, Hero calls $25.25.

Final Pot: $171.50

Just a ridicoulous way to play poker, the first and most obvious mistake was not raising PF. the rest of the hand played out in an embarrassing fashion as you can see, but the point of this journal is to improve so criticism is welcome.

Second buy in was lost to a set over set, thats poker. Made a decent comeback after 'relaxing" a bit. Stats for the night, all NL$100:

795 hands
23.9%VPIP
Net Loss ($148.50)
Went to SD - 15.81%
Won at SD - 50% (embarrassing)
4.53% PFR
2.97 AF

Total roll $4277

Update for Play of Wed 11/30

Postby Allstar7 » Thu Dec 01, 2005 9:25 am

Not a bad session. Started off by getting myself stuck about 2 buy ins with hands like this (warming up with some $50NL after my embarrassing performace of Tuesday:

Paradise Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (10 handed)

MP1 ($39.00)
MP2 ($76.75)
MP3 ($77.00)
CO ($82.50)
Button ($55.25)
SB ($47.25)
BB ($59.75)
UTG ($47.25)
UTG+1 ($55.00)
Hero ($48.75)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with [4c], [4s]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
UTG calls $0.50, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.50, MP1 calls $0.50, MP2 raises to $1.5, 2 folds, Button calls $1.50, SB (poster) calls $1.25, 1 fold, UTG calls $1, Hero calls $1, MP1 calls $1.

Flop: ($9.50) [Ah], [4d], [Ad] (6 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $5.5, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, Button calls $5.50, SB folds, UTG folds.

Turn: ($20.50) [7d] (2 players)
Hero bets $16, Button calls $16.

River: ($52.50) [7c] (2 players)
Hero bets $5, Button raises to $25, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $82.50

I really do not fault myself for this at all. Betting out pot sized bets with a flopped fullhouse is a sign of serious improvement in my opinion. The mook was lucky enough to catch a running pair, thas poker, NH.

Then moved on to this beauty, where my main problem, and a grave leak, is not taking a short stacks play seriously:

Paradise Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (10 handed)

Hero ($100.00)
MP2 ($99.50)
MP3 ($45.75)
CO ($145.25)
Button ($103.25)
SB ($66.25)
BB ($26.50)
UTG ($44.75)
UTG+1 ($85.00)
UTG+2 ($100.50)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with [As], [Qh]. SB posts a blind of $0.50.
3 folds, Hero raises to $3.5, 1 fold, MP3 calls $3.50, 1 fold, Button calls $3.50, 2 folds.

Flop: ($12) [Qd], [6d], [7d] (3 players)
Hero bets $8.5, MP3 calls $8.50, Button folds.

Turn: ($29) [Tc] (2 players)
Hero bets $11, MP3 raises to $33.75, Hero calls $22.75.

River: ($96.50) [Ad] (2 players)

Final Pot: $96.50

Whatever, this was a nice way to start a session stuck about 2 bills, but I would like a few thoughts on this hand...I think a PF re-reraise would have told me for sure that he had AA. Not getting stacked there is a moral victory:

Paradise Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed)

MP2 ($47.50)
MP3 ($26.00)
CO ($61.00)
Button ($81.00)
SB ($51.50)
BB ($47.25)
UTG ($30.25)
UTG+1 ($54.50)
Hero ($55.75)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with [Kd], [Kc]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
2 folds, Hero raises to $2.5, 2 folds, CO raises to $5.5, 3 folds, Hero calls $3.

Flop: ($11.75) [Qd], [2c], [Qs] (2 players)
Hero bets $3.5, CO calls $3.50.

Turn: ($18.75) [4d] (2 players)
Hero bets $5.5, CO calls $5.50.

River: ($29.75) [8h] (2 players)
Hero bets $5, CO raises to $17, Hero calls $12.

Final Pot: $63.75

On to the nice ones:
i love pushing hard with the nuts, nice call by this freak:

Paradise Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (4 handed)

BB ($52.75)
UTG ($93.00)
Hero ($119.75)
SB ($81.50)

Preflop: Hero is Button with [Th], [Qs]. UTG posts a blind of $1. SB posts a blind of $0.50.
UTG (poster) checks, Hero calls $1, SB (poster) raises to $2, BB calls $1, UTG calls $1, Hero calls $1.

Flop: ($8) [9s], [Js], [Kc] (4 players)
SB checks, BB bets $1.5, UTG raises to $9, Hero raises to $35, SB folds, BB folds, UTG raises to $91, Hero calls $56.

Turn: ($191.50) [6d] (2 players)

River: ($191.50) [Qc] (2 players)

Final Pot: $191.50

Another maniac to add to the list:

Paradise Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (3 handed)

Button ($31.00)
Hero ($139.75)
BB ($71.00)

Preflop: Hero is SB with [2d], [3d]. Hero posts a blind of $0.50.
1 fold, Hero (poster) completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($2) [3s], [Tc], [2s] (2 players)
Hero bets $1.5, BB raises to $3, Hero calls $1.50.

Turn: ($8) [5s] (2 players)
Hero bets $3, BB raises to $6, Hero calls $3.

River: ($20) [3h] (2 players)
Hero bets $129.75, BB calls $61.

Final Pot: $210.75

Those were just 2. All in all, I feel my play was pretty good, PT says;

Mixture os $50NL and $100NL

764 Hands
27.36VPIP (played 3 hands for about 150 hands at a table with 2 idiots which skewed this figure up)
Net Gain (+$85)
went to SD 16.14%
Won at SD 54%, again skewed by 3-4 handed play I think (junk hands checking down)

4.32PFR
3.66 AF

Anyone see anything terrible with respect to those PT stats? PT rates me as the UA icon.

Longtime (41K hands at 3 levels) PT numbers
26.9% VPIP
54.29% won at SD
+9.72PTBB/100
31.17% wwsf%
21.24 went to sd
5.75% PFR

I would say your VPIP is too high for my tastes... But, that's just me... As for the hands, it'd really make it easier and/or show what a great poker player you were if, after describing the suckout of the year against ya or whatever, you SHOW the results, so we can figure out what the hell happened...

But, from what I can tell of your hands...

If you'r'e gonna play AJo from the CO, RAISE THAT BIATCH UP!!!!!!!! After THAT, with the BB check/cold calling 2 bets, I'm pretty sure he's either drawing to the str8 or already has a set... When the turn completes the most obvious str8, I'm gettin away when he mins ya... It's ALWAYS hard to get away from 2pr hands, but I would've folded... ESPECIALLY on the river when hte backdoor flush comes too... The only hand you're ahead of is JT... I think that if UTG+1 mins me on that turn, I'm figuring we're either splitting or he has JT.. But, when BB comes alive, ya gotta watch out...

Nothin you can do about the 44 hand, as whatever jackball A he had got there... Bleh..

I have a problem not respecting shorties too... Just one of those things... I MAY have folded the turn... Or I may have just pushed it in and hope he has a naked [Ad] or somethin.. .

I don't like your lead on the KK flop... I've seen you play enough to know that you pot the flop, or close to it, if you hit a hand... $3 into a $12 pot is BEGGIN to get raised to push you off... Hell, if I had JJ there, I'm raisin ya... I may even w/ 87... :D I would either pot it and SERIOUSLY slow down if he calls... Or try the ole CR, and try to get him to fold his aces or whatever, which I can almost GUARANTEE he can't on that site...

The QT hand... Always nice when someone's pushin into you when you're holdin the nuts... Same w/ the 23 hand

Yeah dude - the bastard had Q9o in the hand where I had AJ. Which led me to say that to play AJ in that position, a PF raise is imperative. Stupid Allstar.

You coming back to Paradise any time soon?
