All in all, it was a pretty quiet weekend...I played some, but not as many hands as I had planned...I had a couple enjoyable chats with Piers which is probably -EV (time-wise) but it was great to talk to a long distance friend. I spent about 2 hours in the wrong damn games (it was .50/1.00 instead of 1/2) at either TB or UK, so that was a little irritating-LOL It took forever for me to get my AA twice, but they finally hit near the end of the evening at UK---I had 5 hours in for the usual bonus at TB and never had AA once!!...Everything else was VERY quiet and a slow grind, as I lost small amounts at damn near every game I was in!! My swings have been a little higher lately, as I have to really scratch and scrape to get back close to even. I have made some pretty damn good plays at 100NL, and have been called with some gawdawful shit (I love that bottom pair catch on the river)...I will say this---I have no illusions about my poker skill, as we have lots of guys here at BTP who are damn fine players; I am a pretty tough grinder type player, who is getting a little more crafty as time goes on. My point here is this---the better I get, the more I see how astoundingly bad so many players are!! Maybe the games are not the full size aquarium as 2 years ago, but DAMN---there is plenty of money laying around...

I will go after the rest of the UK/TB "AA" bonus next Sunday...I still have a ton of "chasing" to do, as well as the usual "pendings" at Dise, Stars etc (and a small one at Full Tilt- but I messed that up, as I could have had a much bigger sign up bonus)...

I haven't done much reading lately, as I am a bit focused on my cookbook...I made a delicious "Braciole" last night...It's an Italian style flank steak rolled up with goodies inside---damn tasty!! I try to write one recipe a day, which doesn't sound like much, but getting all the ingredients and amounts correct can be a pain in the ass! I own MANY cookbooks, but I rarely follow a recipe precisely, so writing all that stuff down can be tedious...Fun stuff though...

All in all, a pretty shitty week!!! I have no bad beat stories, as poker has been as boring as paste. I can't even get in trouble with marginal hands...I haven't hit a hand in forever, so I just leave a little money at every table and hope to hell the bonuses are making me even. It's no big deal, as we all have streaks of one kind or another that last much longer than they should--sure is NO fun though...I am pretty happy with my play...I have stolen more pots in the last week than maybe ever before...Mostly "orphan pots" that nobody seems to want-It has kept me close to even...
I also havent been putting in as many hours---been a little more tired than usual, and also trying to get my head back in my day job (commodities)...I even had a couple days where I wasn't feeling well, and that NEVER happens to me !!

Anyway, I feel pretty much back to normal, so it's time to hit the tables and clear out the rest of the bonuses (and I have a BUNCH left!)

The BTP O8 tourney was indicative of my week, as I couldn't connect on a hand to save my life---so damn Bri takes over in the points lead ! It was even more irritating as I honsetly think O8 is one of my better games...Oh well... I will have to kick ass next weekend for sure; I like my chances at both HORSE and Razz, but we will see...

Reading a pretty cool book about Rene Descartes at the moment...

I made the best short-ribs I have ever had a couple nights ago...Damn good...

Although Microsoft does take some well deserved heat regarding some of their products, I am here to tell you all that the Microsoft cordless mouse is one well made and very durable product...I put that phukker thru torture last night, and the damn thing was still working this morning!!

I had a pretty damn good poker weekend...I wasn't in the mood to push it so I rarely had more than 2 games open at a time...I decided to play a little while at Party, even though I already cleared the bonus, as I figured a bit of cover play would't hurt...Decent playing on my part, coupled with donkish play by other and I grab 3 stacks at the 50 NL...On to the Cryptos for the hourly bonus run---I decided to get my feet wet in the PLO 100 game; I just waited for a few good hands and stacked a couple times over the weekend!! Fun stuff!! I may play a little more of that game in the future; I'm not sure if I was just lucky or the players were awful, but probably a bit of both. I re-read Monk's "stuff" on PLO and read some of the omaha forum at the same time, so maybe some of it rubbed off!!

I finally signed up at 365, but that Martin's deal looks awesome...Lots of bonus choices out there...

On a funny note, we have mouse in the house---so the pup is busy knockin everything over tryin' to get that little fukker...fun to watch her....
