Just in case I had forgotten why tournament make me crazy or maybe just to torture myself. I played a $10 mtt on UB. I was up to 4th place with 34 to go, player two to my right is one of the worst players I have ever played with. He has hit every bad draw he has played. He has 50k in chips I have 58k blinds are 1k/2k. I am Utg with KK I raise to 8k willing to just take the blinds. My moron friend pushes all in. this has been his play all day he doesnt play anything after the flop just all in preflop. I call he is playing a/3 off and of course flops the A. Now I have 9k in chips, in the BB i get 99, well this is a good a time as any i guess, the only real money is for 1-5. 5 players limp so now I can almost double up without a call. I raise all in postion 1 limp reraise all in for 75k, that cant be good. He has AA and bye bye in 3 hands I'm done. 3 hrs of playing and I make $10.

And of course this idiot who is now big stack in the tournament blows it all in a matter of 10 hands and is out in 27th place, I think I could have put the chips to better use.

Horrendous. There are few things more frustrating than playing a MTT perfectly, as it sounds like you did, only to have all that good work undone by some monkey hitting cards. Even worse when you see him throwing all of his chips away.

For what its worth, sounds like you couldn't have played it better.

But I am curious. After he pushed all in did you stop for a second and ask yourself what he might have? Ax, AK, JJ, AA? I know when I have something like this happen to me it's because I only played my hand and not the player that pushed all in. Example Last night I have J,10s Above average stack with 15 people left. I had recently doubled up making a flush with J,10s. Blinds were around 4000 I was in the BB. It was limped around with 3 callers I limp also. The flop was Q,9,x. The Q and the 9 were both in my suite. I bet 8000 wanting to represent TPTK hoping to take it down right there. All fold but the button smooth calls. The turn brings the 5 of hearts. Bingo! I again bet 8000 the button goes all in I have him covered by 4000. I can't call fast enough. What does the button have? A6 of hearts! I too was seeing dollar signs and not playing cards.

We must avoid the big stacks, unless we have the "NUTS". If I would have slowed down I would have still had a chance to win. Doubling up would have giving me a better chance but getting busted gave me no chance. Even crippled I finished 11th. Top 5 if I had just slowed down.

Cowboy I didnt think he might have had Ax, this guy was possibly the worst player I have ever seen this late in a tournament. He actually was the reason I was big stacked, he doubled me up twice. I limp raised him all in twice once with AA and another time early with AK. He had gone all in just about every 5th hand. He busted AK with AJ, JJ with 10/6. KK with 2/5 and the list goes on. He had made the same play in all these hands. I had considered that he might have Ax but it just as easily could have been 3/4 or k/2. This guys only play was all in and he liked to do it vs the other big stacks, double me up or send me home kind of player. He also was able to steal from a lot of the other players with this move since he had so many chips. Either way if he has Ax I'm 3:1 ahead and busting him makes me big stack in the toureny and pretty much guarentees me a top 10. I can pretty much guarentee you I would have done better than 27th. Just a frustrating day and the reason that I usually play cash games not tournaments. On a side not I do really like UB's tournament set up, blinds go up more slowly than the other sites and there is a lot more real poker played.
