I sympathize bud. Back when I was more of a recreational player rather than doing this as a part time job, the thrill of the game was almost more than I could handle. i ended up playing alot of very long, very average sessions. Since my wife stopped working and I've been trying to really grow the roll and devote myself to poker as a student of the game, I have taken to cutting sessions short when making a nice quick hit like that. Its a learned skill to be sure, but its benefits are twofold:
1. get some needed rest (having a job and a wife and a baby and playing 15k hands a month limits my sleep to about 4.5 hrs/night)
2. book more positive sessions and avoid the spectre of tilt, which, in case you dont see it yet, attacked you last night.
when you're running bad and off your game, and you cannot force yourself away from the table, youre on tilt pardner, time to hat up and call it a night.
