yeah, i'm at a paltry 28 hours or so. I didn't feel like playing much at the beginning of the month and then I had enough things come up to keep me busy that I didn't feel like playing. Today, the master plan is to go to the gym after work, come home, shower, eat and play poker for the night. EXCITING!

I got some party plans for saturday and who knows about the other days that I may just spend from now til then playing poker.

I only got in about 2 hours yesterday as I was sitting to play and my roommate calls me to come hang out at fridays for a few drinks. I go, leaving after 30 min on stars for a nice $33 profit on a suck out by me. By the time I get back, the tables are mostly dead and I sit at 3 bodog 25plo tables, play for 1.5 hours, make 17 and call it a night. Nothing too exciting. All hands of note are in the omaha section.

The bowling trips to vegas fell through so me and 1-2 friends are working on booking our own trip so I will be there weds 25th- sunday 29th. Just don't know where I will be staying and the exact times i'll be arriving and leaving.

this is the worst run of cards i've had is SUCH a long time. In the last 2 days, i'm down....wait for it...... over 2 buy ins at plo50. I KNOW! how can i take this shit! Seriously, this might seem like nothing to most people but over the last 1200 hands, i don't remember the last hand I won that was significant without sucking out. I could easily be down 4+ buy ins if it wasn't for those. I don't play like kenny, xaston or MK, 2 buy in swing is huge for me.

Some might see this as a weakness as I probably don't get involved in some +EV situations but I like consistency so to me, its a strength and helps keep me doing this. I know when to gamble and when not to but I don't like to do it and I feel I can find better situations than to gamble at marginal +EV situations. Yes i know if they are +EV, they will make me money in the long term but the variance they add make it -EV for me so I avoid it if necessary. You don't hear about me getting stacked often and this is why. Even with all this, I normally kill the games at one of the highest winrates out there (33bb/100 hands before this run this month).

For your viewing pleasure for those of you that can interpret this weird game that uses 4 cards rather than 2. Sorry, the converter is still down.

near the end of my session and maybe frustration set in. I made the lower straight and mid set and try a block bet of sorts and have to call all in knowing i'm splitting at best but likely not. All my hands recently make situations like this. Second best.

He definitely got me on this. I was probably folding the turn if he raised me as that bet was kinda "don't raise me, i want a cheap showdown" but then i make a boat on the river and think "it would take some balls for him to check it to me with K5 or KK" so I put him all in and I get to note him that he has that kind of testicular fortitude when slowplaying.

I'm practically freerolling this guy. I have a higher two pair draw, nut flush draw and I pick up the straight draw on the turn while all he ha was 3 3's for a gutshot wheel to win. I def noted this play and when I have a set, he is going to pay big time because i'll play that the same way.

I would like to nominate his call on the flop as "call of the fucking year" and he got what he deserved on the river. Called with an underpair and gutshot and hit? WTF. Once again, these suckouts are keeping me afloat but it seems everyone is catching their gutshot like this on me.

Yes, actually a good hand. Notice the extreme suckout he would have made if I didn't happen to have a 2 also. Maybe I bet it too hard on the flop but I projected what my hand was, AA, so I doubt he was gonna give me much action unless he hit a pocket pair to boat up.

If he raised the flop, i don't know what i was gonna do and I think i was stuck after the turn. This is how its been ladies and gentlemen. Wait, there are no ladies here or gentlemen. Degenerates and the degenerate wanna be's. marginal situations run into the nuts and the occasional suck out to keep me moving.

That's a lot of hands. Don't like it? Tough shit. don't read it. You can probably decern a bit of anger in this post because i'm pissed off about these cock monkeys hitting their 4 outers on me, or less to win.

Overall, I guess it goes with the poker territory but its still unusual for me and its the reason I quit the first time I took this seriously as a job at the beginning of the year when I actually recorded a negative month. It was basically break even thanks to the bonuses but about -500 in play. Surprisingly, I don't think I tilt much at the table but after session like this, it sours my mood for the rest of the night.

Tomorrow is another day and I need to get back to playing to get my hours up and my winrate back up.

Notice that most of these wins involve hitting top set with AA. First time in about 3k hands that I got all in with the nuts (top set) and didn't have to suck out to win or hit a bad turn.

Man. I live in New England and it's freezing here for winter so I'm wearing Timberland's and I look about 5 '6 wearing em. Does that count? That gives me the ability to hurt feelings with sticks and stones but not words huh? You see what I did there? It was a little Pee Wee Herman thing.....ahh nevermind ya bastids.

there will be no more pee wee herman references in this journal. There is a place for talking about pee wee herman and/or wee pee's and that would be Xas's or MVP's journal.
