i am dealt 44 in the CO. MP min raises. He is a decent player. Nothing extraordinary. we´ve been run over by a friend who coulndt be more hot. In just a few hours I´ve seen him hit quads three times and all 3 times he got paid BIG time, including a 380 pot!. Nobody has been noticeable, so I dont know much about the raiser. LP calls and I call.
Flop. $8. A - 8 - 4 with two spades. I, for some reason, have been playing my hands quite aggressively, OVERaggressively I have to admit. MP leads for 7. LP calls and I raise to $22. MP reraises to $55. LP folds. I have to forget about AKs because the As in on th e board. At this point I am putting him on AA but, can I fold that? I cant. I put him in and he flipped AA. There goes 97.
Hand 2
Just 5 minutes before.
I am sitting on $78 at NL$50. I have AQd in the CO. There are two limpers to me and I raise to $3. Button calls and BB calls.
Flop comes Q 8 2. With two spades again. BB checks. I bet $9, button ($90) calls and BB folds.
Turn. $28. A. I bet $30. He calls.
Is he slowplaying a set or he is just stupid enough to call his stack after the flush? I am pot committed now.
River. $87. 4hearts. OK. How much is he calling now. 25 left. I bet 15 and he instapushes. Hell, he was slowplaying the set, right. I HAVE to call. He shows 44 and takes it down . OMG!!!
WTF is wrong with me?
I was OOP and it sucks! because the way he was playing it, it was like many morons play sets even on that kind of board.
HAND 3,4 and 5.
This one happened three times to me. THREE! Beilieve it! Two of them with full stacks (62 and 45) and the other with 39.
I am MP with 66. One limper to me. I limp. CO raises to 2. UTG+1 calls and I call.
Flop $7. 4-5-6. Rainbow. I lead with 3.5 (looking for a raise). CO raises to $18
. The guy should have gone nuts with AA, right? I put him in for his remaining $24) He calls and shows 7-8diamonds. I didnt improve.
-The same happened two times. Carbon Copied. I had 99 and cold callled. Flop came 7-8-9. I lead he raises, I reraises he pushes and I call. He Has JT. I dont improve.
HAND 6
I am dealt AKs in the CO I have 210 (stacked a guy with AA. he went nutso with KQsuited). I raised to 5.75 after one limper. Button calls (this is the luckiest guy I have seen, the one I mentioned above. He is prolly a solid player but with the amount of great hands he´s been getting it is kind of hard to tell...) He has a monster 490 stack. He calls and MP calls.
FLOP. $16. 4 - 8 - K. 48d. MP checks. I bet $15. Button calls. MP calls. Uhm. I dont like it.
Turn. $59. Ah. I bet $50. Dont know if I did it right again but I know at least one of them is chasing the flush. Button calls. SIGHS and MP folds.
At this point, I just dont belive he has a set. I have been paying attention to this guy and he hammers the pot HARD when he has it. He told me, as IS right, that they keep calling anyway so why not overbet with the good?.
River. 6d. URRRRRRRRRRGGG. I check and he instapushes. I think. I cant call $150 on that board. Not to this guy. He´s won 80% of showdowns in the last 800 hands. He told me that when I asked him and I had played the last 300 hands with him and I really thin he is above 80%.
I am thinking and he says: -"So, you dont have the flush. I´ll show it to you.". I fold and he shows AKd.
I lost a thousand of hands like that. Without even going to the showdown when the obvious scare card hit. Many of these hands I was in position and was led into.
