I was trying to finish up the BetFred bonus playing $50 NL, but only two full ring games were running at that level, so I sat down at 6-max. First time ever playing 6-max.

The table I sat down at had nobody with a stack above than 35 bucks, most under 20.

Long story short, it took about 30 minutes but I took EVERY dollar from EVERY other player at the table, until they all left, except for one guy who had maybe ten bucks left. I decided to pack it up because another full table had opened and was filling.

I played pretty tight, didn't want to make any mistakes.

Got QQ, raised strong preflop and got headsup, my CB on a rag board was raised all-in by someone who had J8s no hand no draw. Down to 5-handed.

Got 77 and caught a set and took out TWO opponents at once, one from a bluffer and the other from a guy who had top two pair. Bluffer pushed the flop, then Mr. 2-pair pushed, and I said this is the easiest I've ever seen to get all my money in on the flop with my set and called. Down to 3-handed.

Got AK, raised it, caught an A on the flop and took all the money from someone with second pair. Down to 2-handed.

And a few hands later I left.

Only +$80 or so, but I'll sure take it for 30 minutes on one table.


Damn that was fun! I may have to try this 6-max thing some more....
