Party 30+3, 950 started, we are down to the final 19.

Blinds are 2000/4000, and I am in the SB with a stack of 40k. Average stack is 45k or so. I have AKo.

Folds to cutoff who has 24k or so. He raises to 12k. BB behind me has a good sized stack, 80k or so IIRC. Regardless, he easily has me covered.

I felt that the SB could be raising with any decent hand, so there's no question I'm calling, but do I want to reraise or not? I figured I'd rather be heads up with him, so I pushed.

Does anyone else just throw in a reraise here? Or flat call?

I would have been happy with 44 calling, instead of the KK that the big blind had.

I caught an ace, but he caught the case king and knocked me out. Bummer too, I could have folded to the final table with that hit. Oh well, still a good start to the year!
