First off I know I screwed both of these up royally. Here they are. I was playing $1/2 NL $100 buy-in at Imperial Palace w/ briachek. Most detaials are correct. Table is loosey goosey and calling 6x BB w/ any ace and any 2 face cards and making these raises w /the same garbage. Both hands came after I ate dinner.

1)Stacks are me =$73,next guy has $125 or so and LP has about $200. Both are very loose. I have played w/ LP for about 3 hrs. He is very Loose and aggressive. Guy next to me is new(10 hands or less). I am dealt KK in EP.Raised 3.5 BB (1st mistake?). 2 callers. 1 right naxt to me and 1 in LP. Flop comes 2,2,J rainbow. I bet $15 into a $24 pot. Did I do right thing here? I figured 1/2 to 2/3 pot bet to find out where I am. Raised min by guy next to me. Called by LP. I reraised all in anoither $36( I know this is a huge mistake. I should have folded w/ a raise and a caller.) Called both ways. No help on turn or river. I lose to 62o from guy next to me .Do I have the right ideas how to play this hand now? If not help.


2. Same 3 people. Me=$69, guy next to me= $200 or so. LP has $175 os so. Similar postions maybe 30 or 40 hands later. Dealt ATo. Called BB. ( 1st mistake ?). Guy next to me raises to $12. 2 callers including me (2nd mistake?). Flop is T,9,3. T9 are suited. I do not have the ace. I bet $25 into $39 pot. Called both ways. Figured niether one had anything. Turn comes beautiful ACE. Bet last $32all-in. Guy next to me calls. 1 folds. He flips AKo and rivers a king to win. Left after that hand down 2 buy-ins. Did I royally screw this up or what? I should not have been in the pot.

well, I think you just got screwed in both hands as I was there. First hand, I probably would have raised more preflop since that was the standard. Unfortunately, it may not have help in either situation. Second hand, I might have folded AT in EP and definitely folded to the raise. The guy that raised was a calling station and only raised with BIG hands so at best you have an overcard, at worst, you were dominated. Once you were in the hands, I have no fault with your play, even in the frist one since the guy just sat down. Knowing what you do now, you MIGHT have been able to fold but calling a raise with 62?!?!?!?! man, this game was bad.

I feel your pain, every hand I got pretty much was cracked and those two guys ALWAYS seemed to have it against everyone else and just passed the money between the two of them other times.

Hand 1)

As you stated in your intro people were raising and calling 6X BB raises preflop with all sorts of hands. (This is the way all of the 1/2 games in LV are). This means that your raise to $7 is way too small. You should be raising to $12 or $15. Maybe even more if you have seen any $20 raises get action so far. Other than the tiny preflop raise I would say that your postflop play is fine. You have KK, a relatively small stack, and a great flop. Im going to try to get it all in there and hope he has a J.

Hand 2)

Limping with the AT is fine if you know how to get away from TP on the flop. Calling the raise was not so good. You put in a good percentage of you stack preflop with a trap/trash hand. Playing postflop here all is very tough given your scary hand and small stack. What did you plan on doing if he raised you all in here? You just put half your stack in the pot only to find out it looks like you have a 5 outer. A $10 flop bet would probably give you all of the info you need and you still can fold your hand if you get raised. This is a weak play in a bigger game but would probably be fine here. Especially if the LP is loose-aggro like you mentioned. He might make a play at you sensing weakness and then you can move in. He is not the one to be worried about. As far as the river, well, thats poker!
