So as much as I said I was done playing for a while, Mitch talked me into playing my usual home game. The best news I can come up with is I broke even, actually I made $2. A winning session finally.
Hand 1: I have $40 villian starts the hand with $35. I have A10d, we are playing 6 handed so I raise from the button villian calls. Flop is 1045. He cheks I bet $5. He calls, turn is a 3 making two diamonds. He checks I bet $8. He calls, river is an A. I check, I put him on a busted club draw, he pushs, I call and he turns over 23o. For the fukn str8. Great why should today be any different than any other day.
Hand 2: I have $60 in front. I call a raise from the BB with A9h. MP calls also. Flop is A
. I lead $8. MP raises to $20. PFR pushs for $35 total. I know MP is coming along for the ride and I pretty sure the case A flopped, I push too. Praying I have a live 11 outs. Preflop raisor has AQo, MP had A8. Turn is a heart I have the nuts, by some minor act of god one of the last 2 8's doesnt hit and I win a nice pot.
Hand 3: I call a raise from the button with 66, flop us 6710 raindow. I raise the flop to $15 get called by BB and MP. Turn is a brick, he checks I bet $25, he pushs for another $18. Ithat sinking feeling, this guy is a calling station. I still have to call for the pot odds. He of course called a raise with 89o, of course.
So I broke even pretty much. I really didnt enjoy playing in fact I was kind of happy to get out of there. I am going back to not playing poker, I have been happier and much less stressed the last week not playing. I am no longer listening to Mitch when he tries to talk me into playing. This kind of cemented the point that I really need a real break.
