ARGH!!

Sorry, tried that hand converter for the first time and wanted to preview the posting and hit the "submit" button.

Ok, pot is 6 handed. MP is a very weak player, who calls pot-sized bets down to the showdown with pocket jacks boarding showing a possible straight (and the bettor HAD the straight). He did that many, many times and lost that way to sets, too. So I wasn't afraid of him. The button is also a weak one, calls a lot of pot sized bets, but he usually mucks his hands at the river.

Ok, about the action:
The bet turn looks good so far, I would do that again vs. the same opponents, 'cos the flop bet was relative small and they always call a buck with nothing).

But what about the river bet. I guess I should slow down here with two callers, right monk? But should I check-call or check-fold to a pot-sized bet in this situation.

MP had ( [Ad] [4h] [3c] [9c])
button had ([Qc] [4d] [Ah] [Tc])

If you're willing to check-call the river you should really bet out against weak players - if you're going to put that last bet in ANYWAY you might as well get it in in the first place in the off chance someone will call with a smaller set or two-pair.

I think you should bet the pot on the flop with that hand, but I'd be tempted to slow down on the turn. You got three callers on the flop, and the only conceivable draw is to a straight; I realise you're up against poor calling stations who are just as liable to have overpairs, but that 4 on the turn is not good news for your hand, although it does give you a weedy flush draw (therefore some outs against a straight) which makes betting marginally more OK. Otherwise I think you played it fine.

Oh, another possible turn play which may work in this spot against a single loose-aggressive opponent would be to check-raise all in, although against a field of loose-passives this is unlikely to work. Still, I think checking the turn is probably better than betting out in most cases here.
