Yeah, I do the calling station thing in PLO8 a fair bit. It's amazing how often you win against a semi-bluffer (or total bluffer) if you have a bit of a hand (i.e. a smallish pair and a nut low draw) and the board blanks off. I think your play in this hand was very good, although the flop call with another player involved was a bit on the edge.

Thanks Monk, I was going to put something in about that (when other players are involved) but forgot to add it. The few times I've gotten in trouble playing this way is when I focus too much on the LAG and forget about the other guys in the pot that aren't nearly as loose. All of a sudden there's another pot bet seemingly out of nowhere and I'm pinched. Be wary of that.

i love the table chat. I'm not too fond of the flop call as i think you can probably find a better spot but good read.

Usually a calling station strategy works well against a lag. If the lag is very good postflop, I think you have to be aggressive with strong draws though, otherwise you miss out on a lot of value.
