I finished exactly even today. I was up about $100,
and then lost it all due to having few good cards and
getting beat on the turn and the river a couple of
times at the end.

I had 5 sets though and won them all, but wasn't
getting much else to win.

Sets flopped were 5 for 18, above average.

Flush draws made were 1 for 1 1/2, above average.

I won $268 today, a new daily record. The reason for
my good fortune is that almost all of my hands were
holding up to win. I didn't get beat on the turn or
the river until once at the end when my opponent made
a flush draw on the turn. I was as high as $293,
shortly before that hand.

Sets flopped were 3 for 15, above average and they all
won.

Flush draws made were 2 for 3, above average and they
all won.

I had the following high pocket pairs and they all won
except for the last JJ which got beat by a flopped
straight: KK AA AA JJ JJ KK JJ KK KK (just won the
blinds on the last KK).

My opponents also folded to my bluffs quite a few
times.

My showdown percentage was 80.6% (won 25 out of 31
showdowns). Normally this percentage is around 55%.

After playing about breakeven for the last week, it's
good to have a really good day.

I finished up $241 today. I had incredible luck. I didn't get beat once on the turn or the river. I was a perfect 12 for 12 in winning showdowns on the last table that I played. I won $191 on that table.

My winning hands were as follows ( I think that this is all of them, but not sure):

1. Ad Qd, queen on turn to win.

2. AA, won unimproved.

3. Ac 4c, flopped a straight.

4. 77, won unimproved.

5. 55, won the blinds.

6. 77, got a flush on the river.

7. AA, won unimproved.

8. 5d 4d, won the blinds.

9. Ac 5c, ace on the flop, and trip aces on the turn.

10. AA, won unimproved.

11. A9, won with ace high against a bluff in the big
blind with jack high.

12. against . The flop was [Qs] . My opponent flopped a flush. I got a runner-runner full house when the turn was the , and the river was the . Full board was .

13. AA, won unimproved.

14. KQ, got a straight on the turn.

15. KQ, a queen flopped and I won.

Then I was dealt 4 hands in a row and won them all. Numbers 17 through 20 below.

18. AQ, flopped a queen and got an ace on the river for two pair.

19. Qc 5c, flopped a queen and got a five on the turn for two pair.

22. KJ, a king flopped and I won against K4.

23. Ac 7c, a seven flopped and I got an ace on the turn for two pair.

I won $5 today. I didn't have very good luck today. For a while I wasn't flopping anything and had to fold. Then I was flopping a pair and getting beat by a higher pair. At one point I was down over $100.

Two examples of my luck:

I had A6 against A4. An ace flopped, but a 4 came on the turn. I got no help and lost to two pair.

I had A9 against A3. An ace flopped, but a 3 came on the turn. I got no help and lost to two pair again.

But slowly but steadily I made a comeback into the positive.

Two interesting hands today.

First, I had pocket AA against pocket AA. Doesn't happen too often. We split the pot.

Second interesting hand, I got a straight flush on the turn. I had . The final board was . Getting a straight flush doesn't happen often either.

Sets flopped were 1 for 14, below average.

Flush draws made were 4 for 5 1/2, above average.

I lost $55 today. I was down about $40 right from the beginning when I got beat 3 times on the turn, and my QQ ran into KK and lost.

Later I had JJ which ran into KK and lost.

I just never was able to recover and at one point I was down $100, but I made a comeback thanks mainly to 3 hands. First, I hit a two outer full house on the river to beat a lower full house. I had against . The final board was .

In a second hand I flopped trip tens from the big blind with T2 and won.

And in a third hand I made a flush draw and won.

Some interesting event in today's activity:

To counter yesterday's good luck with my 2 runner-runner flushes, I got beat by a runner-runner flush today.

I made runner-runner trips when I had in the big blind. The final board was . That was a rare occurance.

In the space of 4 hands dealt to me I had pocket KK, QQ, and QQ, and won small pots with all of them. It was unusual to have 3 high pocket pairs in 4 hands.

Sets flopped were 2 for 11, above average.

Flush draws made were 2 for 2 1/2, above average.

Activity for 01/30/2006 & 1/31/2006
2/4 limit hold'em full tables

I lost $120 on 1/30/2006 and won $16 on 1/31/2006. Since I had been losing lately, I tried some new ways of playing on 1/30/2006, which didn't work out obviously since I lost more. Went back to my old ways on 1/31/2006 and won a little.

Since I was trying something new I didn't keep any statistics, so I can't report on them.

My monthly total is my second highest ever. So even
though I didn't do so well at the end of the month, I
can't complain.
