And btw Rhound.... re: tells. Mike Caro took the science of tells to the limit really. Other people may have spotted individual tells and teach these too but nothing has been added to the science of tells since Caro. I'm about ready to change that. Seriously. I've been studying tells and people and Caro missed something huge which revolutionizes the science of tells and it's going in the book (that will someday eventually hopefully get written).

I like Dan's comments on tells in his new book. He focuses mainly on the hands of a player and not so much the face. He contends that players can make a stoic poker face or do all kinds of things to overload you with information but a person doesn't pay much attention to his hands and they will tell the truth. He also mentions that against a good player he will add little value to a tell until it's been seen many times because they give off misinformation for those looking to get a read. The inverse is true for weaker players who don't really know the difference and he'll rely and use tells given by these players much sooner and judiciously than against a strong opponent.

Just an OT thought... back to our regularly scheduled thread.
