enjoy the reports, thanks for the info. I have one question, your obviously skilled enough to play higher limits, why do u even bother with anything below 2/4 when the play there is so awful?

Just a horrendous day at the Empire 12 tables. I took some asswhippings that would just make your head spin but I did manage to knock out the second of three bonuses. Leaving again out west tomorrow to take care of the land surveying of the place that I am buying. Hopefully be back by Tuesday night. Dreading the 8 hour bus ride tomorrow but really looking forward to spending the day at my new home site. Should be rejuvenating.

Left from Humacaro Alto this morning at 4am and arrived home about 10.5 hours later. The last bus from Barquisimeto to Caracas leaked like a sieve and we went through some hellacious downpours, just a nightmare 5 hour trip which turned into a 7 hour trip due to the heavy rains. Just played a little today as just not in the right frame of mind to work and I am tired.

Interpoker 12 limit, 45 hands, -25.75, 48m
Empire/Multipoker 12 limit, 1162 hands, -164.16, 4h15m
Empire 510 limit, 203 hands, 129.50, 1h10m
Rake return: 10.53
Bonus: 150.00
Total: 100.12
Time: 5h

A pretty rough start to the day in 12 limit. A couple of HUGE fish that only had a hand when they were against me:)

Well the day just continued on in a very bad way at the 12 tables. Everytime I had a set someone had a higher set or hit a flush. Everytime I had an overpair someone hit a set. Just a nightmare day. The only bright spot was I finished up with the last of the Empire bonuses. That 100.00 I finished up today with the help of the bonus was earned. I think once this last wave of bonuses is finished off I am going to be restricting myself to 36 limit and higher as these 12 limit games can drive you insane at times. Taking the rest of the day off as I just can't take another suckout today.

Piers,

Do you play much 2/4. why or why not? It seems like the transition game between the low limit full of fish suck out tables and the low limit tables where the players know how to play poker and will play a bit more predictable.

In my experience so far, the 1/2 tables seem to be more stable than the 2/4 tables i've been playing. Not sure why.

I do play 24 but not as much as I used to. I generally play 12 just to burn through the bonuses as rapidly as possible and play 36 or higher otherwise.

Multipoker 12 limit, 523 hands, 98.88, 2h25m
Bonus: 100
Rake return: 8.09

Not a bad day as I dished out some of the anihilation I took yesterday. Finished up my last IGMPAY bonus at Multipoker.

Well I guess this journal keeping has been a good thing as I have reeled off 25 straight winning days, albeit with the help of a couple of bonuses on a day or two. For those players just getting their feet wet at the low limit games I hope that these records along with my suggestions on beating online low limit games are giving you some fortitude that this can be done and you can make a decent amount if you play well. There is no shame in playing the low limits to develop your skills Take your time going through each step of the limit ladder and the experiences you gain at each of them will be well worth the time you spent there. Don't rush into a higher limit game unprepared bankroll wise or ability wise.

Time for a break, a beer and a movie.

Interpoker 12 limit, 460 hands, -49.00, 2h45m
Interpoker 24 6 max limit, 45 hands, -87.50, 25m
Interpoker 510 6 max limit, 5 hands, 25.50, 5m
Pokerroom 12 limit, ca. 35 hands, 11.00, 20m
Pokerroom 24 limit, ca. 70 hands, 49.00, 40m
Rake return: 10.43
Bonus: 90.00
Total: 49.43
Time: 4h10m

Well I guess I should have stayed on break today. I came back home and decided I would finish up with the Interpoker bonus so I hopped on 5 tables of 12 limit and went to work only to be taken to the mat by some god awful fish and some terrible suckouts. I popped up to 24 short handed to finish up the bonus and continued to take some terrible beats. I finished the bonus and played one round of 510 short handed before I decided I needed to just call it a day before I did something stupid. I wish I would have had this much self constraint 7 or 8 years ago:) Tomorrow is another day and I can start off on a clean slate of feeling and playing good as right now I don't think my play is where it should be. I very rarely feel off my game but this afternoon was one of those times. In moments like that you just need to pack it in because if you aren't playing your A game then you are likely to be someones whipping board.
