People play serious enough from $10 and up at Stars ( no rebuy ).

I would go for a $20 buy in NLHE.

There are always drunks or morrons around at every level. But at the $20 level most people take it seriously for the strategy from HOH to work.

Hawk has a lot more practice than I do, but I have found really little difference at most buyins, even freerolls, believe it or not. You may play every hand correctly, and it might make a difference, or it might not.

I suggest you play for the lowest buy in you can find, and play lots of them. Practice, I think, is most important. Experience. The more you have the better.

Or...Learn to play small ball. It works.

I find the $150 + $12s on Partypoker to be good.

No I haven't played them as I don't play Stars unless a BTP event is taking place. 180 is just right and 18 places is right on target also. I might have to check them out myself because that is why I stay away from the monster sites. I can stand 150 idiots which is what you will get in a 180 player MTT. But 1500 idiots drive me crazy.

I played them several times and for some odd reason I did not money in the first 15 I played.
I had no Idea why I would bust out around 40th place very often.

The last one I played I actually won.
Just treat them as an regular MTT and don't get up in too many wars with bad players.

Also don't look at the leaderboard to much but take your shots with premium cards early on because they tend too play loose early and very tight later on.
