Turning Stone Trip Report:
So Shamrock20, 2 of our friends, and I head up to Turning Stone on Friday and get there at night but not too late. I sit in $10/$20 briefly before I get called over to the $15/$30 game. Al Krux is playing the $300 minimum NL game so it looks like I won't be able to lock horns with him this session. The dealer at my $10/$20 table remembers me and tells me about a great loose $30/$60 game they had running all day the day before. He. I guess. thinks I'm good and play that high (he's somewhat right, although I've never played that high at turning stone). I get stuck marginally in $10/$20 before heading over to the $15/$30 game. I drop $600 very quickly and reload. I battle back and end the session a few hours later a $44 winner!
Sleep/Eat/etc.
Saturday we get to turning stone at around 3:00 PM and I put my name on the $10/$20 list, $20/$40 list, and $15/$30 interest list. Literally four and a half hours later I get called to $10/$20 and drop $250 in a half a second before being moved to the $20/$40 game. A young pro who I mentioned last time is to my left. Al Krux, 3 time WSOP main event final tablist (including 2004), is two seats to my left. The biggest donator is two seats to my right, and a bad player I remember from yesterday's $15/$30 sits to my immediate right shortly thereafter. I got position on the 2 biggest donks at the table, so I'm pleased. Due to people leaving the game, I have to post a small blind on the button while Al and Dwayne both have to post big blinds. It's folded to me and I raise with Q5s. Both call. The flop is KT9 and I bet, Dwayne calls and Al folds. Dwayne and I both river a K high straight and chop it up. I am +$20 against WSOP main event final tablists. Everyone and there mother limps in, I limp with 77, Dwayne limps, and Al raises. The flop is K78 and I immediatly start writing the BTP post in my head where I win a big pot from Al Krux. To make a long story short Al has KK. Later on the Donk to my right limps, I riase with AA (only time the whole trip) and he calls. Flop is Q36 and he check calls. Turn is a 7 or some bullshit and he check raises, I 3 bet him and he is all in for $5 less than the 3 bet. He has 36 sooted and wins the pot. He apologizes for cracking my aces. My inaccurate fold later in the session ended up folding his winner in literally the biggest pot of the night. He turns away and sheds tears as he sees that we would have made a runner runnre full house with his J9o and beat the nut flush for a $1000+ pot. I continue to lose cartoon hands and eventually book a $1500 loss which is my largest live win/loss ever. My phone is getting tired and I don't feel like typing many more cool Al Krux stories so I guess I'll end this boring trip report now.
Boy, you got me confused with a man who repeats himself.
