Having a great run at the $6s on Party, 50%ITM and 39% ROI at the moment
Here are a few hands I'd like to share with you..

Hand 1 - BB here is the loosest player I have ever met - must have had close to 90%VP$IP, i pick up 66 in the cut off, raise all in knowing he'll call with any two cards.
Question is - is this a correct spot to try and double up? the blinds were going up fast and i hadn't picked up a playable hand till those pocket 66s

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (6 handed)

BB (t6040)
UTG (t2000)
MP (t3995)
Hero (t1530)
Button (t1070)
SB (t5365)

Preflop: Hero is CO with [6d], [6c].
2 folds, Hero calls [t1530] , 2 folds, BB calls t1330.

Flop: (t1630) [Jc], [7d], [9s] (2 players)

Turn: (t1630) [9c] (2 players)

River: (t1630) [Ad] (2 players)

Final Pot: t1630

Results in white below:
BB has Ts 7s (two pair, nines and sevens).
Hero has 6d 6c (two pair, nines and sixes).
Outcome: BB wins t1630.

Hand 2 The UTGs raise was pretty standard as he entered most pots raising with junk so i reraised with my tens to thin the field and find out if he was serious about playing his hand, turns out he wasn't. I figure the CO is calling with a couple of overcards so when the flop comes with no high cards i move all in, confident that im the favourite to win the hand. Right move?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t60 (9 handed)

BB (t3260)
UTG (t2498)
UTG+1 (t2676)
MP1 (t2388)
MP2 (t2768)
Hero (t1320)
CO (t1410)
Button (t1770)
SB (t1910)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with [Ts], [Tc].
UTG raises to t120, 3 folds, Hero raises to t324, CO calls t324, 1 fold, SB calls t294, 1 fold, UTG folds.

Flop: (t1152) [7s], [6d], [2c] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero calls [t996] , CO calls t996, SB folds.

Turn: (t2148) [8s] (2 players)

River: (t2148) [Qd] (2 players)

Final Pot: t2148

Results in white below:
Hero has Ts Tc (one pair, tens).
CO has As Jc (high card, ace).
Outcome: Hero wins t2148.

Hand 3 With that ragged flop i bet big - i dont know why thogh. As soon as the button folded i felt that I'd made the wrong decision. Should i have checked here instead of betting in an effort to check the hand down to try and increase the chance of eliminating the small blind?
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t60 (9 handed)

MP3 (t3260)
CO (t2558)
Button (t3988)
SB (t298)
BB (t2798)
Hero (t1708)
UTG+1 (t1500)
MP1 (t1920)
MP2 (t1970)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with [Kd], [Ac].
Hero raises to t220, 5 folds, Button calls t220, SB calls [t298] t30, 1 fold, Hero calls t78, Button calls t78.

Flop: (t686) [2c], [6c], [3s] (3 players)
Hero bets t424, Button folds.

Turn: (t1110) [9d] (2 players)

River: (t1110) [2s] (2 players)

Final Pot: t1110

Results in white below:
Hero has Kd Ac (one pair, twos).
SB has Qs Qh (two pair, queens and twos).
Outcome: Hero wins t686. SB wins t424.

Hi Super,

Thx for posting this because it reminds me why I don't play at Party.

H1

All in on 66?? You still got a playable stack You wanna win the blinds or double up. The chance of doubling up or not that great. You are raising into 3 players of which 2 are the chipleaders. So if you are gonna get called you are flipping at best!!

Calling $1530 with 10-7 jesusmotherfchrist man. So now you now what beats 66 and 2000 other combinations.

H2

Maybe I am missing some bets here but is one of the strangest bet raise series I have ever seen.

You got a read on first raiser and reraise thats very good. The creative $324 bet is in most cases a bet that screams I got a good hand but not the nuts.
You call $996 when nobody has bet yet. I guess this is a fault in converter and you went all in for $996.
I think you can make that move here but with 2 players flatcalling your raise you could be beaten here.
Now the AJ calling your pot bet is incredible. Oh party I hate that site.
This has nothing to do with poker.

H3

Good preflop raise with two callers you have to improve IMO.

I think that bet was a little overdone. Why?
What if the other guy had the QQ would you have put in the rest of your stack? I think you would.
You are betting in an empty side pot with a chance that one of these guys have you beat because you have nothing yet.
So best thing happened and the other guy went out leaving you with the all in player.

I would have checked the flop or betted something in the $250 range so you still got some chips left.

In short I think you are gambling way too much. You are making coinflip bets when it is not the time yet to do that.
Maybe that is what party makes you play but that is one of the reasons I stay away from that site.

If you truly wanna play and learn I would recommend playing somewhere else.
iF NOT HAVE FUN AND TAKE THE BEST OF THESE GAMBLERS.

Tom.

Stoneberg is the only one I agree with here.

Hand #1: Opening with 1500 chips on the CO with blinds of 100/200 and blinds increasing? Put your money in as the favorite! Usually the extremely loose players don't play as loose when there's a big all-in raise before them, it's too much of a risk. This one here was too ridiculous, which complicates the situation a bit. If he'll call your all-in with T7, JT, etc., then it's still profitable to push here, just not as clear a push as if he had a slightly tighter calling range. 77+ is a clear push in this case. 66 is either-or, can't go wrong folding or all-in there. Open-limping from the CO would be by far the worst play here.

Hand #2: You're playing too fancy. Make more standard raises and re-raises. Your all-in bet on the flop was fine.

Hand #3: Terrible flop play. Check it down unless you have a monster and want to extract some money off him.

Thanks for all the great advice guys, really appreciate you taking the time to help me.
Still relatively new to SNGs and No Limit play in general. Thanks to these forums i know I'm improving though, or maybe Party is just ridiculously easy. Since they changed the structures I've had 2,5,2,1,2,2,2,4,10,2,1,6,1. Thats 9 out of 13 ITMs.
Thanks again

I still don't get why you guys would push here. 1500 chips left and blinds at 100-200 and they have just past you.
There is still so much room for playing with 1500. what do you want to win. You would win the blinds here at best if you get a caller you are in bad position.

Maybe it's the $5 at party that asks for this play but I still don't see it and that is the last I have ever said about this kind of play.
