Dropped ANOTHER two buyins tonight. My last winning session is starting to become a hazy memory on the horizon.


I call a guys raise with TT, he's raised 10%+ of his hands and always CB's. Flop is 644 with a flush draw. He bets, I raise and he calls. He bets again on the turn when another 6 somes and I call but regret it, he has to have a bigger pair than me. River is the Ace of the flush suit and he makes a pathetic blocking bet of 4bb's, I push and he insta-calls with KK. I mean really instacalls. I would at least expect him to think for a second I mean it's not like it's a very safe board for KK...

I limp/reraise a maniac (20% pfr) allin with AQ. He folds but someone who called his raise decides A2s is good enough and promptly spikes a deuce.

Then the maniac takes a huge chunk out of my stack when I have AK against his J3 monster...

I think I only won one pot above 15bb all night when some moron decided to slowplay AA and let my JT catch a straight.


I really suck at this game at the moment.

just curious... why do you guys push marginal hands if these guys will obviously get their stacks in with marginal hands (e.g., in hand 1)?

i mean, i like playing "real" poker and everything, but what's the point in trying to outplay someone who only has three brain cells?

was this crap on B2B?

Hand #1 I took a look at the board and thought "I can't think of a single damn hand that I would call a push with on that board". I had him solidly on a big pair and knew that if I called his miniscule bet I would lose, so in order to win I would have to push. I played it in a way to make it look like a monster. I still don't get how he can instacall when the Ace comes on the river. There's two pair AND an Ace AND the flush there and he instacalls with KK. I'm still retarded for trying to get anyone to fold a pair though.

My god. I just checked and I haven't won a full buy-in in a session for two weeks. My winning sessions have been tiny and my losing sessions 2-3 buy-ins. That's a recipy for disaster.

I don't think I have won this little in at least a year and a half.

BY FAR my biggest leak is trying to outplay people who simply refuse to be outplayed (ie... your KK hand)...

PLENTY a time have I raised AQs PF, got called by EP and bet every street on a 4-flush, 4-straight paired board just to get called down by AKo no pair no draw no nothing...

My FAVORITE play is one of those "he made such a weak bet I GOTTA raise" ones like you did... and it works about 5% of the time... MEH...

I think if I stopped "making moves" my bb/100 would increase by at least 2..

But, like Fla said, if you're having a winning month, you're still ahead of 90% of poker players...
