I am a pretty tight player, ~22 VPIP in full ring
You can go card dead playing this tightly for a long time. I wouldn't play this tightly short-handed or if the table is tight-passive.
As far as your starting hand selection is concerned:
I would throw out a lot of the paired 1-gappers, especially the smaller pairs. They are much more likely to get you into trouble than help you.
3-legged dog type hands are entirely a positional and table dynamic play. I would almost always muck them from up front.
I think you can add suited Ace-gappers, like A986 etc, where the gap is at the low end.
Occasionally, I will play mutli-gapped hands like: A-K-J-9 or K-J-9-8, especially if the high card is suited. These hands need a pretty specific flop, but when you get that flop you can have one nasty draw. They also have some redeeming high card value, i.e. two pair value.
If the table is really, really weak, I will occasionally raise total junk from the CO or button, but again that is an opponent specfic thing.
