Kind of just passing time today and watching High Stakes Poker. Decided to try the short stack NL method with a couple of modifications when it gets passed to me on the button. Only pushing with AA, KK, QQ and AK preflop. I got KK first hand, no callers, AK off very next hand no callers  The one time I got called with AA the other guy had AA  But managed to make a very little on a couple of button hands and bonus clearing. Will probably try more later.

Played another session of the short handed push strategy and won a little bit. Again the only time I got called was with AK versus another AK and when I had JJ and pushed versus a very short stack who had KK and another time I pushed with 1010 and got called by AK and won that hand. Playing in the 3.00 rebuy at Stars now to pass some time and sitting with a slight above average stack in the second hour of play.

More Short Stack strategy session at the 25 NL tables and still winning a little. I have opened up to raising 99 up in pairs and AK along with just a few other hands playing on the button when all have folded. For the most part the rocks just ain't calling at Empire as can be seen from the stats below.

30 no calls
4 calls wins
2 call losses (AK (me) versus JJ; KK versus JJ (me))
1 tie AA vs AA

Real early morning sessions of some Short Stack NL.

Couple of more short sessions.

Put in a short handed limit session and i have to say it has been a long while since I was playing with such a collection of donkeys. They were so bad that I even turned a profit in this miserable run of limit I have been having so you know they had to be smoking crack, injecting H and probably a few chromosomes short of a full complement for me to win but win I did.

Non poker stuff a friend of mine loaned me the complete first season of Lost yesterday. I don't get any US shows here and he said it was good so I watched the first 6 episodes last night and enjoyed them pretty much. Probably watch a few more this evening.

On the poker front I finished off the Pokerihuone deposit bonus and the Empire bonus. All in all I did pretty well on the Empire bonus making 180 on top of the 200 bonus. For those still clearing or haven't signed up yet the 1-2 6 max limit games have been amazing the last couple of days. I have been sitting at tables where the VIP of the other 5 were over 50 and every table had at least 3 BIG fish. That said buckle up your seat belt for some nasty ass beats along the way but if you hang tough you should be able to spank these guys good. Since I post some beats along the way I'll post a few nice ones were I suck out, get donated to or make a good read to win some nice pots.

Been a pretty tough month as I have put in about twice as many hours as last month and won slightly less. Whole month marked by getting soundly beaten down at the limit tables while managing to win nicely at a wide variety of other games. All in all I am real happy about my game as I believe I am playing as well as I ever have although the results don't really suggest that. I will probably be moving back to playing alot of SH limit in March as I just deposited for a big bonus on a Pokerroom skin and I will also likely do another B2B. I can't imagine running worse than I did for another month so I am looking forward to a solid March after this somewhat disappointing February.

Took the day off yesterday and most of today because wasn't mentally into playing any poker. Looks like my time in Venezuela is drawing to a close for the time being. Things appear to be getting worse between the US and Venezuela so I have decided to go ahead and leave earlier than I was planning. Probably going to fly out a week from Monday.

Deposited for Doyles Room tonight and played a few hands with MVP.

Piers if you like the area, you could go to one of the Ilands of the Antillas because
thay belong to the Netherlands.
Ok, maybe life is there more expensive, you should have a try.

Managed to get most of the Embassy stuff taken care of today and hopefully can finish with some final paperwork next week. I will probably fly out a week from Monday or two weeks from today. I am just sitting here now wondering were in the hell to go to from Miami  99.00 -149.00 flights to a wide variety of places that I am contemplating: Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Savannah (old friend nearby), NYC, Houston (old friend), D/FW (old friend). Kind of exciting to pretty much have the map open but a daunting task to make a decision on the best place to go given all the factors. I have even thought about going up north to British Columbia or even Alaska as I have always wanted to visit that area and I wouldn't mind spending quite a bit of time there. In regard to Canada what all would be entailed for a US citizen to move there for a while if anything? Any help in this regard is appreciated.

Thanks for the info Derk. I will do Allstar. My kids live there in the boogie down bronx so I am up there from time to time.

Just checked on flights to Anchorage from Miami and found one for 309.00  That is really tempting.
