Don't you think a bot could play this shortstack strategy ?

The reason why no pokerbots play NL is that postflop play is simply too complicated. This shortstack strategy however is very straightforward.

As the bot would only have to play preflop strategy it's much easier to deduce rules such always push all in with AA,KK,QQ,JJ, AK, AQ.

Just imagine how cool it would be to fire up 8 tables and then let the shortstack strategy poker bot take over the boring job of waiting for cards for you.

Shawn: the 200-300BB rule is a LIMIT rule...the NL rule is much different. The standard NL roll is 20x the FULL buy in...so while the roll for 1/2 limit is 600, it's 2000 for 1/2 NL...BIG difference. $25/hr is NOT an easy thing to do...your goal should be learning good poker, building a bankroll, and moving up limits as your roll allows. 25/hr depends on how many hands/hr you're seeing. You can make 25/hr playing 10 tables of 50, or maybe even 25NL...or 5 tables of 100NL...or a 3 tables of 1/2...or one table of 2/4...but it's just not that simple.

Cooper, a bot could play my PP strategy just fine...it's Excession's point why there aren't bots running at all...

There's the project of making a bot that can beat a pro analogous to the big blue vs kasparov battle...and there's reason to think that this will never happen for NL at least. However, there's no reason to think a bot coulen't play my PP strategy, and CERTAINLY no reason at all to suppose that it couldn't do the SS strat.
