I actually slaughtered the tables i played on tonight basically playing like a nit and makin a hand or 2, so it was kinda tite. However, i got flamed by a mizor for this partocular hand, and i am just wondering what all the decent omaha players would do in this situation.

The way i thought abou tthis hand is that it was a pretty marginal call, maybe better if i had say, a ten or instead of an 8 to make a gutshot broadway draw also. I also figured it was possible he had KJ and not a set, which means that my overpair had alot more outs and he had lots less redraws, or possibly he had a full wrap like AQT9 and/or a smaller flush draw and was pushing (am i still a favorite here even?) Which brings me to an additional point of how the hell are you sposed to read hands in PLO? Anyways Im jsut a dumb amuhrican, i cant figure this shit out. Anyone?

Umm, first off, thats not PLO, thats PLO8.

The hand you are most likely to have, in Villan's mind, is probably exactly what you do have, which is the nut flush draw with some kind of low redraw. 99% of the time he expects to see Ac2c in that situation. The fact that he has absolutely no low draw makes it much easier for him to get the money in on the flop, basically making you pay if you have some iffy hand with a good low draw. From his point of view, it is a relativly dontastic move on your part, as you hit runner runner baby cards and made the flush for the scoop.
