Anyone have any suggestions for playing PLO HU?

With the idea of getting a feel for short-handed or HU pots in ring games, I thought I'd give it a whirl but lost 4 times in succession at the $20 game on Stars--so, I'm obviously completely clueless.

Bet out TP? Bet out draws? Bet out middle pair? Trap constantly? I've tried all of these to some extent but feel like I'm still just betting rather blindly as to what kind of hand is really adequate.

It seems like on the river, you generally want to have at least 2 pair, but then there are coordinated boards where that's likely not enough. And pot-size management also seems to be a major issue. Trying to build big pots when you want them but keeping them small on these "kinda sorta alright" hands that maybe should be laid down anyway.
