What was your image like? Were you stealing a lot of blinds? Paticularly villans blinds if so then he may have just gotten tired of it and decided to put you to the test. Having said this:

I don't think that was a bad fold. You are behind AA, KK, QQ, JJ, AK, AQ. the hands he would do this with that you are ahead of: AT, KQ, maybe A9 and depending on your image at the time he might have done it with A8 or A7. Obviously he would have done it w/ underpairs (TT-66) as well but those are coin flips. So it looks like 6 hands that have you dominated and only 5 that you can beat. Getting maybe 2 to 1 on your money....looks like a fold to me.
