Unfortunately I have had to cancel my trip for the time being. The guy that was hired to build one of our houses has after an two extra months not even finished with the outer structure so my wife has decided to try and come to some agreement with the guy and get a portion of our money back that we paid him for services yet to be rendered. If that fails we will have to take him to court I suppose. It looks like I am going to have to finish up the house myself which I believe I can do as I have quite a bit of background in construction/electrician/plumbing etc. although I have never had to put them all together at one time in the construction of a house. Should be interesting at least. Went shopping for the supplies I need to finish up things and will end up saving quite a bit although when weighed against my time playing cards I will probably lose out some although given my recent hourly/daily input of time perhaps not.

Has the political discontent calmed down?

Played some seriously good poker this morning and nothing but a loss to show for it. My reads have been dead on and I just keep getting hammered with unfortunate turn and river cards but can't complain too much I suppose as the bonuses at least are continuing to carry the day.

Mother phucker. Threw about 100.00 out of the damn window when I got timed out with the nuts on two hands on the fast tables at Stars. I accidently hit something and caused a damn popup to go over the table and before I could get it moved my hand was in the muck. Hard to win when you throw away 16 or so big bets like that in an hour but somehow the guys were so damn bad I did manage a small win regardless.

Damn you BTP bastards are bad luck at Tribeca. Thought I would play a round or two with Rhound and the first damn hand I post behind the button flop bottom two against TPTK and get it all in on the flop and he rivers trips. Did manage to stack a poor bastard when I got him all in drawing dead to a split on the turn.

Are you using 2.11.04c? I know last Saturday when I finished up the Staff poker bonus that it wasn't importing HH's anymore either but he did have a patch out for it that took care of that. I think the version I listed above is even one patch newer than that though. but it didn't show up on the automatically check for latest version function.

Spent the day dealing with house construction stuff so not alot of time at the tables. I did deposit for the 600 euro 5 X bonus at Pointpoker and also played a very short session at Stars but that is probably all I am going to do for the night. Kind of muggy here in Caracas so I think I will just crack open a bottle of wine and relax, something I am pretty good at doing lately.

Yesterday was pretty much burnt up with work regarding the house and then a late evening meeting with a guy that runs a horse betting/bar/restaurant operation. I am basically being given an opportunity to open up a clandestine poker room in the upper floor of the establishment complete with back entrances etc if we need them although I don't believe that will be necessary because he has the local officials on the payroll so to speak. It is a very nice big upper floor that could work into a pretty big operation over time if games grew which I suspect they will as there is no official pokerrooms outside of a couple of casinos which are raping the players with an ungodly rake. I have also played at some underground rooms in the city as well and the same nightmare rake was involved although the players played so badly that it could still be overcome. I figure with opening up in a safe place with a good rake structure it won't be hard to acquire some folks in the beginning and then let the word spread and we can build up from that point. I figure I would stock the dealers and cashier with my own Famke Janssen's and that couldn't help but to build the clientale as well. Still got some thinking to do about the situation and trying to estimate what it will cost me to get started in regard to buying/constructing tables and getting a big chip supply. I told the guy to give me a month to do a little research and visit some of my old card places to try and see how things are going in those areas.
