Does ANYONE like this play...

Okay... I'm playing 100 $10SNGs to try to get my groove back... So, I figure I can experiment a little... I get this hand in the BB and decide to see if this guy is paying 2 seconds of attention to me, or if he's just playing his cards w/ one hand and whacking his pud with the other... :D Normally, I probably would've led out the flop, as I like betting my draws...

Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t60 (8 handed)

MP2 (t1715)
CO (t2110)
Button (t930)
Hero (t1945)
BB (t3240)
UTG (t1135)
UTG+1 (t2355)
MP1 (t1570)

Preflop: Hero is SB with [8d], [Kd]. Hero posts a blind of t60.
2 folds, UTG+1 calls t60, 4 folds, Hero (poster) checks.

Flop: (t120) [2d], [6d], [Ts] (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 bets t60, Hero calls t60.

Turn: (t240) [6h] (2 players)
Hero bets t125, UTG+1 calls t125.

Okay... So I'm tryin to represent trip 6s... I tried to bet enough so that someone who actually HAD trips would want a call, but not enough to chase the guy off... He calls... Shit, I hope HE doesn't have trips...

River: (t490) [5d] (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 checks.

WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO I hit my miracle flush... Okay, now what's the plan of action... I figure he's got a hand to keep betting and calling me down... I think if it was REAL strong (ie... trips...2pr...), he would've bumped me up by now... I MAY get a few chips out of him by betting my flush... BUT, no way he's calling anything that matters that much if he doesn't have a VERY strong hand (ie... trips... boat...)... Hopefully, he's got a DECENT hand (if its a boat, I'm gonna pay him off), and if I check the flush, he'll bluff bet it out... Of course, that doesn't happen :x :x :x ... But, it would've been cool, huh...
Final Pot: t490

Results in white below:
Hero has 8d Kd (flush, king high).
UTG+1 has 2c Ac (two pair, sixes and twos).
Outcome: Hero wins t490.

As it turns out... This guy was just a total doucebag... I can't fathom that he would've called ANY river bet anyway... God only knows what the hell he was doing even playing past the flop w/ bottom pair...

don't check that river. Too many hands will check behind. Maybe you can get him to raise you representing the flush.

So, do you weak bet the river and hope he raises... Or value bet... Or push and hope he doesn't believe you...?

I bet 250 and willing to play for my stack because if he somehow caught a boat or has the ace high flush, oh well. You can't give up on such a prime opportunity to get chips.

Were you the SB or the BB? The posting is ambiguous. It reads "Hero is SB", but then you post the BB of 60 and check. I assume you were BB.

Anyhow... I would have bet the river as well. Like Bria said, it's a great opportunity to accumulate more chips.

I like the move, but not at at $10 table, unless you think he's a pretty solid player who's capable of putting you on hands, but from your comments, it doesn't look like you think he is. You usually play higher tables than this, so I'm sure you give more credit to your opponents than what you're going to see at this level, I think the right move here is straight forward poker.

Just a side note, it doesn't look like he played the hand very poorly, he gave you 3-1 on your flop call, borderline, but technically correct, he called your bluff on the turn when he had the best hand, and, he checked behind on the river when he was beaten.
