This is hand from Phil Gordons LIttle Blue Book about SNG play.

$50 SNG at Full Tilt, 30/60 blinds, 9 players

Phil OTB with [Ac]

UTG, UTG+1, HJ & CO all limp,
Phil Bets-the-Pot $330, Blinds & UTG fold, UTG+1 pushes all-in, HJ & CO fold
The pot is now 2,960 chips and 1,570 for Phil to call(putting him all-in)

Call or Fold?

The read on UTG+1 is "Plays many hands, Aggressive"

Easy fold. You're more than likely taking the worse end of a coinflip here when you don't need to. Pot odds mean squat when your tournament life is on the line.

WTF, I may well call this push but K9o is about that last hand I would expect to see. I'm with EscapePlan - I'm expecting AQ/AK or a mid pair. I would expect something like nines or tens.

How come I don't see players like that when I'm playing on FTP?

if im playing live i think i would fold.

online though, I can see the arguement to call. meaning u can use the time if u bust to do another SNG to make money. i think the real problem is raising with AJo otb with 2 EP limpers...but if u do it, u gotta think how u will react if it gets re-raised.

based strictly on the read, a call is probably correct. im trying to trust my gut more, b/c it is usually dead on.
