$10 SNG on UB. 5 players left, blinds at 200/400. Most people are playing tight to make the money. Most hands are raised before the flop and not many hands make it past the flop.
I have T1800 and am on the button with TT. It is checked to me. I decided to raise to T1000 here, happy to take the blinds. But the BB (T3000) puts me allin. Do you call? From what I've seen, BB is a decent player, who could have a medium or high pocket pair, or maybe a hand like AQ, AK. He has once raised me off a hand on the flop where I missed my AK.

I either only double the BB or I push all in pre flop and get knocked out by Ax when a A hits the board. I can muck 40% of my stack but not 60%. Once I have 50% or more of my stack in the pot I am going all the way.

You are pot committed. I would also push all in with that hand pre-flop. Especially against a player who plays well post-flop. Make him commit all his chips first. That way he can't outplay you

Also, pray he doesn't have an overpair.

Texas, I see you make a few recommendations for min raising late in tourneys. I don't think that is a good idea, especially when blinds are so big compared to stacks. Would you really fold after committing 800 of your 1800 chips there? The only time I could possibly think of folding is when we are on the bubble and you min raise, someone goes all in and someone else goes all in so you fold to go to make the money.

I think the only argument for min-raising late in a tourney is with a monster to try to build the pot against one other player. You would also have to have a nice stack to do this relative to the blinds. Other than that if you are short stacked and you have a decent hand, you go all in. That is what tourney play is all about.
