I know that Noble offers these shorthanded sngs, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me any others that do. I also suppose I'm just too lazy to do the research myself...

If this is the wrong place for this post feel free to move it ;D

Tunk... as far as I know, almost ALL of the sites offer it... I know Party does, and UB, pretty sure Bodog does also...

You just gotta look when it says "registering" it'll say 0 of 6 instead of 0 of 10...

Doylesroom.com does, they also have 2,3,4 tables MTT's if you like those as well as heads up. They suit any bankroll if you want to play 10c sng's Image

Pacific poker does too.... you can only play 1 table at a time there, but if that's how you operate anyway, then I would highly recommend it. They have 5 person SNGs that pay 3 people... sounds really lame, but there are *always* two idiots there so you are virtually guarenteed a break-even or better performance. Great for tiny bankrolls, you can safely play the $5.50 SNGs there on a $25 bankroll I think.

Well, if anyone has any experience with this it would be appreciated...

I've recently built my bankroll a considerable amount playing in some local tournaments and such, and now I'm looking to play $20 sngs, but I know for a fact that I am a much better playing at a shorthanded table than I am at a full table. Has anyone else played these $20 6 or 5 max sngs seriously? What would the level of play compare to... I've played some $5 and $10 sngs on Noble (only because I won a freeroll once.. the site is filled with fish at the 50 NL level though). Would it be better than the quality of play at the 5 and 10 levels? Thanks in advance :)

Back to tunk's original question.

I'm not sure if they are easier but I seem to play better in them. At the $10 level on UB my results are as follows:

189 games, ITM 46%, ROI 28%. Could be better, in fact my first 100 games were ROI 47% but I have had lots of second places lately.

I play them because I like to only play 1 table at a time, and I find them more fun. I'm just trying to learn the game at the moment, profit is nice but a secondary objective to improving my game.

Interestingly the real bad run (games 100-150) came after I read Harrington for the first time. I started trying new things, loosening up more early in the game etc etc and did it badly. I guess it's just part of the learning curve. My last 40 games are at 70% ITM now that I have tightened up again very early once again as recommended by nashvegas and various other posters here.

Some games you get 2 idiots who bust out early, i just avoid them without the nuts. I've played quite a few games there with 5 reasonable players at the table, and it can be tough to beat. Hope that helps.
