Back to tunk's original question.
I'm not sure if they are easier but I seem to play better in them. At the $10 level on UB my results are as follows:
189 games, ITM 46%, ROI 28%. Could be better, in fact my first 100 games were ROI 47% but I have had lots of second places lately.
I play them because I like to only play 1 table at a time, and I find them more fun. I'm just trying to learn the game at the moment, profit is nice but a secondary objective to improving my game.
Interestingly the real bad run (games 100-150) came after I read Harrington for the first time. I started trying new things, loosening up more early in the game etc etc and did it badly. I guess it's just part of the learning curve. My last 40 games are at 70% ITM now that I have tightened up again very early once again as recommended by nashvegas and various other posters here.
Some games you get 2 idiots who bust out early, i just avoid them without the nuts. I've played quite a few games there with 5 reasonable players at the table, and it can be tough to beat. Hope that helps.
