I usually don't do more than 2 SNGs at once. Earlier today I tried 3 at a time on UB; two $5 and one $10 (MVPsports was on the $10 one as well!). I placed 2nd and 3rd on the $5 ones and 5th in the $10 one.
Before the blinds increased to 50/100, I had no problem with the 3-tabling. Once the blinds reached 50/100 and beyond, it became more strenuous. People were being eliminated left and right and I'd have hands worthy of playing at two tables simultaneously. MVP was testing how well I was concentrating. Still, these were playable conditions. I only had a couple faults due to 3-tabling.
One fault... MVP saw... I had about 1200 chips at the 75/150 level, and when I clicked on the window to make it active, I accidentally clicked "Fold-Show Hand". It was folded around to me in the SB and I had KTs. Of course I would have pushed there! Instead I show the hand I fold and hit myself. WHOOPS! People probably thought I was ridiculously tight after that. I ended up losing in that tournament by moving all-in on the Cut-Off with ATo and being called by KK. I'm pretty sure it was inevitable I would lose that tourney. Even if I took the blinds with KT, I'd still push with the AT in that position and get called. So... in conclusion, this wasn't -that- bad of a fault - NOW THAT I KNOW THE ENDING. Of course it would be a problem before then.
The second fault... I had a straight and almost folded it to someone going all-in. I was about to fold... then I thought wait... I have 79... there's JT8 on board... I have the straight already! And I thought I just had an OESD! This could have been a major fault if I folded it.
Other than those problems... I thought three-tabling was similar to two-tabling.
I came in 3rd when I pushed all-in with KK and got called by AA.
I came in 2nd mostly because I was supposed to be at work RIGHT THEN. I just started blindly raising and raising and raising. He re-raises and I'm all-in with my mid-pair 2 kicker! I ended up making it to work three minutes late, not too bad. And my manager didn't care (this particular manager is alright).
I think I might increase my monitor's resolution before three-tabling again. Then I wouldn't have the overlapping windows ordeal.
