I'm in another $5+.50 on Hollywood and it's already starting to be a typical low buy in tournament.
I've got 88 in the SB, first level. 5 limpers and I complete. BB raises to 120. Flop contains an A and BB bets out, one caller, and despite the 10:1 pot odds, I fold. BB has AK and caller all in has AQ.
I've got JJ in the CO. 3 limpers and I raise to 300, 3x the pot. BB and one limper calls. Caller to my right doubles up when his 76o makes a FH on the river.
A4 in SB 50/25. One limper and I raise 150. BB and limper call. Small cards on the flop with a 4. I bet 1/3 of the pot and they fold.
Here's a beautie. Next hand, 44 OTB. UTG limps, MP1 all in for 120, 3 calls and I call. A4 on the flop, checked all around. I bet 200 on the river, and get one caller. 4 on the river and MP bets! I reraise all in expecting a call and he folds!!
77 in BB. Flop is 765. OTB is all in and I dodge K8c with flush draw on the turn. River is a 2s. Up to 4300.
2 more hands and I've got JT in CO. TT7 on the flop and I get another 2K chips.
QJ in CO, I raise, BTN calls and BB goes all in. I call getting 2.5:1 odds, then BTN pushes and I have to fold. KK vs 88 and Kings hold up. Whew.
Knock out 2 more players and it's heads up against KK hand earlier. He gets all the cards and despite knowing exactly how he plays and can read him like yesterday's Times, I can't do anything. He finishes me off when I have QT and the flop is AT and another A falls and yes, he has another A, which is like the fifth time he's had the A.
I got a lot of good hands, and managed to get the most out of them. But, when I needed the cards, he just got better cards. Pretty typical of these tourneys now.
